When dark mode (3 dof) comes to Quest, you could use one or both of the quest controllers in this manner. They already have the same sensors as the Go controller, so it would just be a matter of switching off the tracking LEDs to achieve the same functionality and battery consumption as the Go/ Gear VR controllers. And I don't think the Quest controllers are much more cumbersome than the Go/ GVR controllers.

Currently users are only notified of app updates when the app appears in the updated section. Aside from what is obvious, users are not provided with a detailed description of what has been updated. A brief description would be good, similar to Google play.

It would be great if we could wirelessly transfer media files to and from the quest via wifi or bluetooth to a PC or phone. Even if it was via the companion app. Plugging it in every time can be tedious.

The reason for this is that game developers have to spend a lot of time modifying games to suit the Qwest. It costs them a lot of money, so they have to charge for each version.

Thanks to everyone who has voted for this idea! As part of a previous software update, we added the Environments setting to give you more control over your Home space. You can view and change your environment from your Settings panel. To do this point at your bottom toolbar and select Settings > See all > Virtual Environments. Then point and choose the environment that you want to apply. This feature is now available to all users.
As both the initial idea and the comments speak to a functionality request that goes beyond this addition (things like decorating your space with objects, being able to move around the space, etc.), we are marking this idea as started to leave it open for voting rather than closing it as complete. We hope you are enjoying the new environment options we have added!

That's about as likely as pepsi being sold at McDonalds. Besides, the Quest can't run PC games directly. The games need to be heavily modified to run on the Quest. Stick it out and the Quest library will get bigger, not to mention we're getting Go emulation soon. So you'll have the whole Go library as well.

The Quest already automatically updates. Different regions get the update at different times. If you leave your Quest in sleep mode rather than powering off, it will update as soon as it's available. You'll know you have the latest update when both controllers have a "laser" in the home menu.

You can change the screen size in Netflix, but you must be in void mode. Youtube also allows you to change the screen size.

I've not heard of flimware, but the Quest automatically updates the firmware. Just leave it in sleep mode when not in use to ensure you receive it asap.

The Quest already has built in party chat.

I agree that app could do with some work. It does crash regularly. But you can write a detailed review when you rate any app, although I don't think it's possible without the app installed.
You can see these reviews with the mobile app or the Quest. -

Latency is the main problem. Bluetooth 5 has lower latency compared to BT 4, but I don't think the Quest has BT 5 with the 835 SOC, otherwise Oculus probably would've included the wireless option.
I don't really see the point in wireless headphones when your ears are mere centimeters from the jacks. It just introduces latency, reduced fidelity, more radio clutter and the inconvenience of having to charge them.
