I doubt the Quest will ever be run at 90hz for the same reason the Rift S isn't. On the Rift S the framerate is capped at 80hz to cater to the minimum system requirements. It would also mean more data to pipe to the Quest, which would impact graphics quality.

Communist phones aren't supported.
Get a good capitalist phone like a Samsung, Apple or Nokia. -

Actually, renting games is a great idea. Just like with Google Play Movies. They could charge $2- $8 to download a game for 48 hrs, then it deletes itself.

Easily fixed! Just disassemble the headset, remove the battery, display, speakers, circuit boards and lenses. Reassemble and enjoy your lightweight device.
You're welcome!

If you're not aware, Chinese brands are considered a security risk by certain countries, including the US.
Buy a phone that isn't made by communists. Samsung, Apple and Nokia are a few that aren't.

It is tricky to fit the Quest properly, but once you get it right it's fine. I have the side straps just tight enough that there is no tension on the springs/ elastic, but also no slack. And you want the top strap long enough that the side straps almost touch your ears. Then tilt the HMD so that there's even pressure on you forehead and cheeks.
I still have marks on my face after a couple of hours, but there's no pain. And the device doesn't move during gameplay. -

I use a small Energizer charger with NiMh AA batteries. Cost me about US$20 at my local supermarket. They work great.

There would be way too much lag, which would make a lot of people sick. Hence why the Link cable is being developed.

Ronny, according to Oculus, because of the increase in resolution the Rift S uses an 80hz refresh rate so it could meet the same minimum system requirements as the CV1 Rift. They also stated that 80 hz was deemed comfortable with it's lower pixel persistence, and was an acceptable trade off. Modern LCD tech is capable of far higher refresh rates, like the Valve Index for example.
