The reason why we need PS4 controller style batteries inside controllers has more to do with battery moving inside the casing and causing controller to disconnect, rather than rechargeability itself(as you guys mentioned, you can get rechargeable AA batteries for that). But battery disconnecting throughout the intense gameplay is really really annoying. VR form factor invites player to take wild swings and not limit themselves in intensity of motion, that's why it doesn't really makes much sense overlooking such a glaring issue.

Honestly I don't know why the heck they added the sound, previous sound was just fine.

Also, because batteries are being held via spring, they tend to disconnect from the controller, during intense gameplay. On games like Thrill of Fight it is really prominent. If battery was built in as in PS4 controller(I saw how it is attached inside the controller, there is no way it is gonna disconnect), then we wouldn't have this issue.
