Thanks for voting for this idea! Within the 1.42 PTC software update, there is an option to disable the automatic launching of Home. Switching this setting off will stop Home from auto-launching in scenarios like jumping into VR and exiting out of apps. You can find this option within the Settings > General menu inside Oculus desktop app. Please opt into the public test channel to check it out and let us know what you think!

Just seconding the request. Out of the virtual desktops that I've tried, (others being Big Screen Beta & Virtual desktop) I like the ergonomics of Oculus dash integrated virtual desktop the most, it has the best virtual keyboard and is always quickly available from the oculus menu. Big Screen chokes on user access control popups when I'm installing stuff, and has a worse keyboard, virtual desktop doesn't come with a virtual keyboard at all forcing me to waste screen real estate and awkwardly poke the windows onscreen keyboard.

But having the dash virtual desktop come forcibly packaged with the oculus home scene, ruins the ability to use it to play resource intensive non VR flatscreen games on a giant virtual movie theater screen. Playing total war warhammer on a massive virtual screen in an empty void is great, but I can't do that with the oculus dash virtual desktop, since having both the game and the home environment running at the same time is too resource intensive. Virtual flatscreen gaming works fine in the other virtual desktops, since they have options for light weight empty void environments.
