I'd also like to see more then like 4 background scenes and actual homes you can design instead of the same basic layout. Dash is always running but home isn't. So there is no reason you shouldn't be able to have a full blown house to customize.

Hey all – we’re marking this idea as started, as joystick locomotion was implemented in a previous software update. However, from the comments, it is clear that this idea has morphed a bit to include the specific request of strafing being included in the control scheme. I’ve updated the idea title to include the request for strafing controls. Thanks!

It shouldn't even be a setting it should be the default function. No one still in the game wants to hear an open mic with a bunch of noise in the background and the person walking away doesn't need an open mic when their headset is not even on. Its a win win.

Just get windows 10. You can get it for free. They aren't going to allow people to run rift 1.0 anymore. They have moved forward. And windows has made it clear they want a unified experience and everything but 10 has been phased out for quite some time. If you want to keep using obsolete software, more power to you, but don't ask others to support it.

What they need is to improve performance of 2.0 not to regress back to 1.0. No it shouldn't be an option to go back to 1.0. That would make performance fixes even slower for 2.0 and ask developers to support two very separate versions of oculus software. Bad idea all around. They are heading in the right direction with riftcore but performance absolutely still needs work.

Yeah honestly that's the only reason to even bother letting people visit your home while you're there. Otherwise they might as well just stick to visiting empty homes.
