Thanks for voting for this idea! Within the 1.42 PTC software update, there is an option to disable the automatic launching of Home. Switching this setting off will stop Home from auto-launching in scenarios like jumping into VR and exiting out of apps. You can find this option within the Settings > General menu inside Oculus desktop app. Please opt into the public test channel to check it out and let us know what you think!

The firs thing you should do it isolate whether the issue is your USB or HDMI. Try using only one extension at a time and see which one is causing the issue.
It is possible that your USB ports are not able to push enough power over the extensions to power the headset. No cable from Oculus can solve that.
If USB power is your problem try
1) A better quality cable
2) A powered quality USB 3.0 hub (not that hubs are the best idea)
3) A USB PCI Card with it's own power sourceSee reddit Oculus wiki for options 2 and 3 - https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/wiki/new_rift_guide

I submitted a support ticket for this issue too as per the request of the reddit support staff.

Support however told me that I need to post here instead.Mixed messages but I suppose that happens. My support ticket number is #592813 if a dev needs to look at my logs.
My support ticket text below here
----------------------------------
Hi,I see a lot of complaints about stuttering in Rift Core 2.0 Beta on reddit and I have been suffering from it for a while too. I have no issues in games so never really bothered to submit a support ticket. I just don't bother with spending time in Oculus Home 2.0.
I upgraded my Nvidia drivers and my Asus Gaming Pro z170 BIOS yesterday and there is still enough stutter to be a problem which probably should be looked into.
I checked the Oculus Tray Tool and ASW is not kicking in during these stutters so I'm not sure really what the issue is.
I cleared my logs and went into Oculus Home and moved around a bit to make sure the stutter was still there. In particular if you want to narrow down the issue based on some known events.
approx 12:41pm (local AEST time +10 GMT)
* I removed the headset (should be an event in the logs for this)
* Put the headset back on (should be an event in the logs for this)
* Then I turned my head gradually left to right while standing still. The stutter happened quite a few times so will hopefully be evident in logs.
I'm not really wanting support to find a resolution for me so don't bother asking me to revert out of the beta test channel unless you specifically need me to test anything there. As I said it doesn't really phase me as I just avoid using home due to the stutter.
Hopefully this helps track something down. I was wondering if this might be the new planned PTW which I saw an Oculus rep talk about on reddit recently?

Thanks and if there is anything else you need me to do just ask.
I haven't managed to successfully attach the logs yet but will keep trying.

I agree with J. Two branches would make ongoing support a nightmare. They just need to try to isolate some of the resource hungry features of Dash and give the users an option to turn them off.
