Man. after days of trying to the belt working. I've just figured it out. Somehow it must have gotten moved above my head and behind me. I was never able to find it. I just moved the dash window far away (on a wall) and pinned it. I pushed the oculus button a couple of times and just happened to notice it way up in space. I managed to grab it and move it down. yes!
Maybe you should have a way to reset these things in case the user moves it somewhere they can't find it?
In my case I never purposely moved it - when I first started tracking went nuts as the scene was rendering and it's possible I inadvertently move the belt up into space.

Yeah. I was very surprised to see that missing.

Maybe they could provide a ‘lock’ setting for objects so they have to be unlocked before they can be grabbed/moved.

Hey all – we’re marking this idea as started, as joystick locomotion was implemented in a previous software update. However, from the comments, it is clear that this idea has morphed a bit to include the specific request of strafing being included in the control scheme. I’ve updated the idea title to include the request for strafing controls. Thanks!

or apps (even chrome windows with a default address) could just be buttons on the 'belt'
much like pinning something to the taskbar in windows. you would pin an app to the belt.
