the reason they were able to go from 72hz to 80hz and 90hz is that display was built and certified for 90hz, but locked at 72hz when they shipped
he says it's technically possible on the displays they built for the headset, HOWEVER

when he mentions 120hz he also mentions how you'd need to stay in an extremely cold environment and have a very cold headset due to limitations and you'd STILL run into issues. he also mentions that most pc vr games dont even support 120, and in another section mentions that developers would need to specifically build and target games on quest 2 for 120hz

120hz would only be feasible in oculus link for pcvr, where it's not burning out the mobile chip in the headset, rather only displaying and tracking while your desktop does the heavy lifting

idk I've played games and hated them within the first 5-10 minutes. sometimes trailers can trick you into believing you'll enjoy a game and then it just doesn't fit what you were looking for.

you can't say " well then check the reviews" if reviews are "garbage".

hi hi. you can do this via sideloading.

I know sideloading isn't accessible to everyone but if you have a PC(doesn't need to be a gaming pc) and a link cable, use sidequest to download an app called RELAY.
Once you set it up, it'll pin itself to the oculus tv tab as a station, and you can see all phone notifications during games on oculus and while in oculus link!

however, from what I've seen in news updates, they'll be adding software updates to sideload from within the headset without link, sooner than later

Are you using SteamVR while running link? you can set the resolution for SteamVR and set render quality to max(High/Ultra) depending on your machines capabilities.
I'd recommend strictly using Steam for PCVR games because it's far more accessible than rift. games also tend to be cheaper and/or on sale more often than not, pay less for a superior experience tbh.

Every single game I've played via SteamVR looks INCREDIBLE compared to their oculus port for quest 2.
I've got both a Rift S and Quest 2 and the Q2 runs a billion times better. but that's just my experience and opinion.
