I'm an Oculus GO owner and a Facebook shareholder. Removing the Oculus Rooms app (in 2019) was a terrible decision. Deciding against reinstating Oculus Rooms during the Covid-19 pandemic (in 2020) is an even worse decision. This is a feature that should have been brought back and used to market the sale of Quest 2 headsets during the pandemic. There are many potential customers who would buy multiple headsets just to be able to sit and listen to music and play some chess with a socially distant family member. Why not create a paid "Business" version of Oculus Rooms for e.g. sales teams to use during a sourcing event, charge a subscription fee for enhanced business features and use that money to subsidize webhosting for the regular Oculus Rooms app.
