Requiring single accounts with real names online for anything that isn't billing itself is not acceptable.
There is no reason to force the use of a social media account, and further, the restrictions currently imposed on a facebook account for a device that has other purposes. An optional link is fine for certain features that use facebook itself, but that's as far as it should go. optional, for such functionality alone.

And no, options to hide your name and use a gaming tag is not sufficient.

I'm ok with an *option* to link or even log in with an FB account.
I can tolerate that option being shoved foremost.
I cannot tolerate being required to link my real name to arbitrary games though; that is not acceptable. Nothing beyond biilling needs my real name, and further, shouldn't be exposed by default.

Sure, the device can be used for social purposes, but that's not the only thing that the vr can be used for, and not all social experiences need to be tied to your real name.

And no, the preference to show a gamer tag as the label is not enough, especially with defaults as they are.
