Unity API access: Passthrough camera & tracked points of insight for developer on Quest !
We are hundred, (thousand ?), of developers on the Quest. And we all hope to play around with the pass through cameras and the Quest Insight tracking system. But surprisingly, there is no API about it !
Could the Oculus team act about it.
If it is a close beta functionally, where developers need to apply to have access to it ?
If someone made a system level like YUR, malware could be created.
What are they waiting for? So many applications that could really use this right now. The camera on the Quest2 is fine. This emerging technology will quickly be in competition's hands if FB does not make it available now! I am learning Apple currently because FB is going to drop the ball and completely lose this opportunity.

This would be super helpful in nurturing the development of AR apps to Facebook's standards. They should do this as soon as possible.

At least dev-only. It's cruel to keep it from prototypers.

Yes! We need access to SLAM data! There are so many applications of VR for productivity that would be possible if we could just detect the walls and objects.
Full camera access is invasive and it's understandable why they should keep raw camera feeds locked down.
FB needs to open this now if they want to keep up with Apple on the spatial computing front.

Yes please. This could open up so many opportunities.
