Customizable home space
I'd like the ability to customize the home environment in Quest, personalizing it to my tastes.
Best case scenario, I'd like to see the same home functionality seen on Rift, possibly with cross compatibility.
If that's not technically possible though, then perhaps a less complex environment, or perhaps predefined 'skins' developed by the UX team.
Thanks to everyone who has voted for this idea! As part of a previous software update, we added the Environments setting to give you more control over your Home space. You can view and change your environment from your Settings panel. To do this point at your bottom toolbar and select Settings > See all > Virtual Environments. Then point and choose the environment that you want to apply. This feature is now available to all users.
As both the initial idea and the comments speak to a functionality request that goes beyond this addition (things like decorating your space with objects, being able to move around the space, etc.), we are marking this idea as started to leave it open for voting rather than closing it as complete. We hope you are enjoying the new environment options we have added!

Would like to move/teleport within the environment and set a certain nice position as my new home default position.

Virtual environment is now completely gone ever since this posting was made yesterday. Any ideas on what the problem is? I've tried restarting multiple times to see if an update is pushed through but so far nothing.
It has disappeared for me too since the announcement
The environment tab has disappeared for me since this announcement, I used to have them for about 2 months!!! What happened???

So what going on is, we're asking for core 2.0 and you say be happy with what we have because it's the best you're going to give us. Is this what you're saying?

As you are going to add the ability to add objects into spaces the object I would like to add is a inter dimensional portals, walking through a portal should allow you to enter a different virtual environment.
I want a customizable Environment where you can place certain furniture and objects and just items you can use to play around with
It would at least be nice if you could teleport around
I want to be able to explore/teleport around the Home space without having to be in a room that's around 3x the size of my living room. It's a really cool room but it's annoying not being able to see all of it up close.
Being able to customize it would be cool too.
i mean like in LittleBigPlanet. you get props from achievements and you can place and move them with physics, move around and let friends join and chat/watch netflix and stuff. only the lobby owner can use the menus.

I want a virtual doggo. Give me a virtual doggo.
I'd love it if home environment had the functionality of Oculus Rooms.
This was my first major downside of the Quest after coming from the Home playspace on the rift.
Not sure why this was the case, feels quite restrictive to only always be in the centre.
maybe have an option for the OG oculus home from rift?
I wish you could have like expansions for it, being you buying like a $1 pet which could be a dog that greets you in your home, or maybe a way to move kinda like the rift's home menu
To this I would add the ability to invite your friends to your home environment to play games or watch TV -- much like the built-in social space on Oculus Go.
Also, it would be cool if achievements in games produce statutes or trophies or other 3D objects that you could use to decorate your home environment.

I would even be happy with the same kind of space we have in the Go if we can't get what you do on the Rift (Which I could understand) but comeone; shouldn't we at least be able to play in the Home of our Go friends?
Definitely a good idea , I was looking for the settings earlier after picking my quest up , even if you transfer the ones used on the go which had plenty of options that would be great for most people and that sense of customisation helps you feel like the headset is really yours . Also would like to see more customisation features and general settings
