Have user profiles so families can share a Quest and we can demo it to guests. Most games don't have save slots so if you had user profiles in Home we could have multiple saves.

The solution isn't to add frikin' multiple users, requiring us to then set up and have to sign into multiple accounts and switch between them whenever we used the headset and so on, which also likely means adding some indication of this into the menu display too and making things even more unnecessarily cluttered.
The solution is just to add a proper save function into the frkin' games, at maybe a universal option to Save Progress whenever you bring up the menu or exit a game.
But you don't fix an issue by creating some convoluted additional **** to then have to deal with just to kinda circumvent it. I don't want to have to create an account for myself and then for my mum and then for my friends, creating new avatars and like every time and so on. That's not a frkin' solution.

I don't want any of this convoluted crap where I'm having to set up and choose between multiple user profiles like I see on so many devices these days.
But, I do like the idea of there being some kind of save slots so I can show my friends games I've already played from the beginning again for them specifically, in a way that's simple and useful.
So, user profiles/accounts, no, but multiple saves as some kind of system thing (for those times when a game stupidly doesn't have it), yes.

I feel like changing to Oculus logins and not making multi user profiles based on facebook logins is crazy. I could pass it to my wife, she use her facebook to have her own save slots (in the cloud) and she can pick up where she left off and not effect my saves. It makes so much since to work multi profiles, and cloud saving into the Facebook login. Also there should be a demo mode or no login mode where I can put someone new into vr for the first time and it not save any game progress. Over the past year about 6 people have tried my headset and bought their own because of it. I have had party's where I pass the headset around and let people experience real vr for their first time.

Weird that a gaming platform doesn't manage the concept of user profiles in 2020. Even weirder is that VR Game devs hardly consider implementing game slots in their games.
This is WAY overdue! I would even say it may be inappropriate that parents/adults are forced to SHARE profiles with their kids who are also using/sharing their device!
AND there should be a parent/adult and/or family sharing option for games.
... unless you just want everyone to switch to Microsoft/Xbox.
I've been frustrated by rebuying titles for my quest that I have on my rift... can't get Oculus Venues on Rift... next I've going to be forced to have/link my facebook account... are you TRYING to kill the platform?
I've been trying to like Oculus, and the Quest was a huge step forward... BUT... these choices are keeping me with one foot out the door towards another platform, should one emerge!
Facebook, you've been on the receiving end of this to become what you are... Its almost ironic that you are foolishly painting yourself INTO a corner :/
Uggg nevermind.. it was “add a friend” to your party, not ADD a profile. What the heck. It was a “plus person” beside my regular profile. I’m sorry.
THEY DID IT!! My oculus has profiles! They just appeared today!!
yo! @Jimmy ! pls respond on this!

we had the options to have several accounts on the quest before!! and they sudenly removed it.. the way u did it was to make an shortcut to settings and then select users. from here u could make any user u would like to! super great future.. but why did they remove it!
So crazy that FB doesn’t have this option already! With the price tag of this thing, it’s not like families can buy multiples. Just got it today and considering returning it as it makes no sense for our family of 5!
The games you could make that require one family member to complete something and then the next family member to continue it, and keep moving through each person would be awesome!! Whole new genre just within that! Team work and family building!!
Come on FB, you’re taking a beating in the media and in the pocketbook, this is a quick and easy fix with a big payload....
How the **** is this not a thing already

Also, if you do realize not having this option is most likely costing you money, please give us options to merge multiple accounts and finally share our purchases. We would have actually purchased more games already if we could share them and play together. It’s really the only thing holding us back from purchase a number of different apps and games.

Maybe add Libary sharing on primary devices as PS4 already has for a few years now.
Multiple user accounts so families can share a device, or play multiplayer games would make this platform 100 times better. We have two headsets and would love to have the kids be able to play multi-players games together, but not have to buy each game twice, or have the younger ones on Facebook or other social media accounts.

Wow, I had just received my second a Quest so my son and I could play the multi-player games together under my account. I just finished setting up the new unit, and I’m just googling how to start playing multiplayer tomorrow. But now I will have to send it back... I wish I would have done the research before purchasing my second quest. I had just assumed that it could be done bc I’d seen in the setting quest app the add a new headset option.. ****!!! Guess It’s enough of a bummer that now I have a reason to preorder the g2. Facebook What a big disappointment!!!

Thoroughly disappointed that there is no family sharing. Please fix this, Andrew Bosworth. Your company certainly have the technology and one would have thought enough profits without charging families twice for the same games. Your company should also make it crystal clear that casting is not the same as inviting someone to ‘join’ so to speak.
Got it today after reading this will go back tomorrow. I got 4 kids no way I will be buying 4 of these and th he games 4 times
I've had my Quest for about 6 months and while I love it, I have steered people away from buying it becasue of this reason. I like others can't believe nobody from Oculus has commented. I would think they would see the opportunity to increase sales with this one little upgrade.

Arrived yesterday.... going back today! Amazing piece of hardware, but without being able to have different accounts/settings for different people, really can't see this as viable at the current price... I'll wait for alternative VR or FB to cave in to pressure and introduce family accounts
Pretty sad to have just got the quest for my kids to share and discover they can’t have separate profiles to compete against each other at different times. Then to start looking for a solution only to find that it’s been voiced for over a year now and it doesn’t appear that it has been heard or considered. Poor customer service! At least it’s easy to explain to the rest of our family and friends why they should save their money, they all intended to share in their households as well.
