Provide a better head strap, preferable a halo thing, like the one of the Rift S. The original one hurts my head badly.
It's insane how the original straps passed quality control imho. It's the most uncomfortable thing one can imagine... even 10 minutes of usage leads to pains and bruises. Tech-wise it's a great headset, but so many people are now made dependent on third party mods that takes months to arrive. Oculus, give us a break and make a Halo Headstrap allready. Would pay 50 bucks for sure.
It would make the Oculus Quest the definitive VR experience! This only thing could really make VR something for everybody, and suitable for every type of games, even longer ones!!!!!
Please don't procrastinate on this, or just say "the Quest 2 is going to have it" because the Quest is already a perfect device except for this thing!!!!!!
Yes! That would be game changing! I'd even pay 60$ to have something like this!
Please release a halo strap version for the quest. Original strap sucks for comfort
also did frankenquest.... why not creating an alternative strap ?

A Good headband for the Quest has to be made, get to it Oculus!
I have tried modding the Quest 3 times now for comfort and nothing solves the issue for my head shape. Please release an official halo style headband for Quest. The Quest headstrap is unuseable for me. It has come to the point where I am going to attempt to fashion my Rift S headband on to my Quest.
I understand that this is a very difficult engineering problem because the ergonomics are related to weight and optics and form factor and all other design choices, and that everyone has a different head shape and size, but you could at least sell a Rift S style halo for those that want it... I have seen Mr Carmacks talks at OC events where he expounds upon this exact issue, but you could at least sell an alternative headstrap...
If they do not sell one for this generation at least if we get enough votes on here they may make sure next gen is better.
This thing is a pain in the (a@#) face. Please develop a halo/audio solution for those of us that are having these issues.
I simply can’t get a comfortable fix on the quest headstrap. I try to get comfortable more that I am able to play which is 20 minutes max and in pain at that!
I'll add my hat to this ring... First uses led to a massive migraine that emanated from the skull bones just behind the ears (putting hands on ears and feeling straight back towards the center of the back of the head). Excedrin Migraine and a nights sleep still didn't kill this one off.
Whoever decided that the lighter Rift S needed a Halo and the heavier Quest did not needs to be fired!
The PSVR is a seriously heavy, large unit but you'd never know because of the halo head mount.
Got a third party developed one on order from China, but won't be here until like Feb or March. I guess until then a washcloth folded up under the strap across the back of the head is the solution.
Seriously, this. The Quest strap is beyond terrible.
I've had my Quest since launch and as more content rolls out, I want to use it for longer periods of times.
The only thing stopping me is the awful strap and lack of comfort... I really don't understand how this made it through QA without someone saying..."hey..what if we were to offer a more comfortable strap?...you know, for users that intend to use it for more than 20 mins".
yup , headache within minutes. bad design i thinks, but love the headset

Let's face it 90% of your customers want an official Oculus made Deluxe/Pro Audio head strap similar to to the HTC Deluxe audio head strap, Sad your customers are Jimmy riging HTC product on there Oculus.

We definitely need something that is official but an option for comfort. As others have stated, Deluxe audio strap is an option but prices are getting out of hand. I just cant find a way to wear the Quest for long periods of time without getting a headache. Its a great piece of hardware and for those that want an optional upgrade for a different strap, there are plenty ready to spend on an official one. Otherwise, that will continue to be the only complaint I have an otherwise perfect piece of hardware. Please consider this.

I like the headstrap the Quest currently has and really dislike the one on the rift s, (the hmd isn’t pressed against the face and that causes it to wickle around on fast movement... the Deluxe audiostrap Style would be a good compromise though :)

The Deluxe Audio Strap mod looks wonderful and would solve my one and only MAJOR issue with the HMD! (It's front heavy). Oculus, please incorporate your own official head strap. I'd love to swap out my current stock strap for a more much more study/solid one, preferably with on-ear/over the ear headphones, or even floating speakers like on the Index

Agreed. Original strap is uncomfortable for most. There is however few 3rd party options available to make it much more comfortable at different price points. HTC DAS (deluxe audio strap), facial interfaces, counterweights, etc. All can be used in very short time, mixed up together or on its own to your liking/needs/budget and all fully reversible. I couldn't wear Quest for more than 30min. Decided to go with HTC DAS for easy size adjustment and build in audio, upgraded facial interface and I've added power bank to back of it for counterweight and extended playtime. Expensive but worth it. Now I can play 3-4 hours no problem (never had the chance/will to play for longer). There's Studioformcreative who sales enthusiast kit which makes quest so much better at relatively low cost. I mean... You can also wait for some official solution.

Perhaps a pro/deluxe optional head strap similar to how HTC had the Deluxe audio head strap as a separate upgrade-able purchase. The stock head strap, though cumbersome, keeps the cost of entry down, so i can still see it being a good thing to keep shipping the unit with, but the option to upgrade the head strap to a much more comfortable and balanced one would be fantastic.
