More guardian settings
I wish we had more guardian options, e.g. opacity level, only the line/border on the floor (without the surrounding grid), distance threshold/tolerance settings for grid/border activation and a radius setting for the stationary circle (its a little bit too narrow by default).
My play space is big enough to move a few steps in every direction, but when swinging in beat saber or point my arms forward in space pirate Trainer the guardian comes up to eagerly.

Hi all! Thanks for submitting and voting for this idea.
As part of the build 7.0 update that is rolling out this week, we’ve improved the overall performance of Guardian and added the following new features:
- If your Guardian boundaries are too sensitive, you can adjust them from the Guardian settings page.
- If you need to adjust your floor height, you no longer have to reset your Guardian. Instead, you can make adjustments right from your Guardian settings page.
- You can now set multiple Guardians in the same room and switch between them.
Since this idea is a bit more expansive in terms of what is being asked for, we’re going to leave this open for voting for now. We hope you enjoy the new Guardian settings that have been added in the meantime!

is there resistance to having either a center marker or floor boundary marker? Seems it should be a pretty easy feature to add and would increase the QOL significantly.
We need an option for floor bounds always on.
Come on, don't make us wait few years.

Stationary would often be the best option for me but it's far too small, so I have to use roomscale just to stop the guardian from constantly appearing.

Seated mode without guardian grid. If you are playing on your couch with "stationary" and you lean forward in e.g. Moss then those annoying bounds always pop up. If i know I will not move with my feet I would like to disable the guardian completely. "Stationary" does also not help in this case (assuming a cylinder) with any obstacles.

It really needs an option to just turn the grid off and keep it off. Every time I lift my headset off my head, the developer option resets to having the grid on (even though turn grid off is still checked). I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it is really annoying.
Guardian sensitivity issue has been fixed with the recent update but the rest of customisabililty should still be implemented.

maybe a "sofa" setting - I can punch over my sofa all I want without hitting something - so how about only showing the grid when the headset vectors intersect with it instead of the controllers.
i use stantionary mode with beat saber and it's actually more immersive than roomscale
Make the world scale a reality. I understand that it's at your own risk where you want to use it. But with a better Guardian, people doesn't need to activate the developer mode and deactivate it, to use Quest in big areas. I like the idea that if you are running fast, it would start appearing earlier than if you are slowly walking.
More control over Guardian for developers would be nice too (like disabling, extending the max play area, ability to place markers etc.).
I understand this might be a no-no for store games but LBE arenas should not be left over because there is a store - Quest has an enormeous potential for LBE arenas but as of today it is not possible due to the guardian being way too strict and limited
Make the guardian system less noticable for those people with a small playspace..
Like give the guardian system a settlement ng where people could hav a dimmer Guardian .. like less of how it is now... Yes I know it's for safety issues but it makes the gam s less immersive

Most definitely need some improvements here - my space is inbetween roomscale and stationary. With roomscale, I have enough to take a few steps around but the current guardian for roomscale causes flashing of the ENTIRE guardian grid. One solution here would be to use the same fade in, localized grid reveal that stationary uses, and then people in my situation would be able to more comfortably use roomscale. The other option I'd considered was to use stationary as is, but allow the user to expand the size of the circle. That's my ideal fix because I like the behavior of stationary, and the setup ease of just expanding out or shrinking the circle seems like it'd be good for usability.

"I believe Guardian will show up early enough to account for your 1s of reaction before you run into a wall. This means that if you were running fast, it would start appearing earlier than if you are slowly walking, so that you have enough time in both situation to stop before hitting it.
That being said, I also believe that the vast majority of users do not run long distances (different from quick but short dodges), and much more often move their arms quickly while playing for instance Beat Saber.
My idea to address this is that if the motion controllers are moving fast but not the headset itself, it means the player isn't moving and the extent of his arms movement is limited by the length of his arms (which upper limit cam be inferred from his own height). Hence in many cases the Guardian shouldn't need to show up because it is not possible to reach it within this reaction time."

Definitely neeed these options same as in steam VR thumbs up from me... Also would like the accessibility options to make ones self taller with a slider, as a wheelchair user this essential to be able to play a lot of games... Also I like the feeling of being taller :) So I much prefer using steam VR for this reason. Please Oculus add these simple options.
Yes, the Guardian came up too often. I have a play space of 10 ft by 10 ft and it seems like it came up when the item (like a racket or sword) in the game got close to the edge. I was playing the ping pong game and it came up almost every swing.
It would also be nice if the guardian system made a sound/beep when it's triggered.
I'm 6'7. A ceiling guardian would be very helpful and appreciated, if it's possible.
in addition... having the ability to not have the guardian appear when moving the controllers very fast would be appreciated.

I'm kind of surprised this didn't have the same settings as the Rift guardian system from the start.
Yes please Oculus give us this! Not to bring up another VR company, but the Vive has these options and I have absolutely no issues with either punching walls or the guardian showing up too frequently. I've used my playspace for over a year and I know it well, I don't need this level of hand holding, it really sucks you out of experiences, especially something like Vader.
