Oculus Gift Cards
My prefered way to make game purchases is via physical gift cards (scratch cards) that I buy at various stores to add funds to a virtual wallet that most virtual stores offer.
So far I have been able to make use of google play cards, steam gift cards, blizzard gift cards, PlayStation network cards.
Using PayPal or a Credit/Debit Card is inconvenient since if we don't have a credit/debit card or PayPal we can't purchase the games.
Even though you created an Oculus Quest which doesn't require PC or insight Track you can't really expect us to purchase the Oculus Quest or Oculus Rift S without another payment method like a gift card since it Prevents the customers under 18 to buy the game from the store.
And I know other stores that also offer this type of payment
Payment methods should be plentiful and convenient.
The Oculus store is the only one that does not offer a payment method that I can make use of.
So would you kindly add more?

Oculus Would Not Make Money From This! Stop Saying it they give the same credit the only way oculus would make money from this is if they make the gift cards more, EG. $5.95 For 1 giftcard and a minimal amount like $20 - $500 Per Giftcard like say i want to put $500 on it i have to pay $505.95

I agree i had to grab my parents credit card and hand them the money but i did find another way to do this so what you can do is go to a shop in this case i went to the post office and bought a mastercard giftcard that allowed me to purchase games so maybe try this method.

I think we should add gift cards to the market because it will definitely help people that have straight cash and could pay there parents, but dont really trust anyone using PayPal, not having the gift cards doesn't effect me but would be a very nice change just in case you were on the way somewhere, and wanted to pick one up before you go home. Change my mind.

If my kids want to buy an Oculus game for me as a b-day present or a Christmas present, they can't do it under the present system. Please institute a gift card system.

Gift cards or just the ability to buy games for friends would totally rock.

They can make a lot of money from this, because there’s people who don’t have access to credit cards so why not provide them codes for it

This is a must, so many times i have wanted to share a game with a friend and i can only do so by word of mouth which doesn't always turn out in a buy =/

When I got my Quest I was very surprised that Oculus didn’t have their own gift cards. They are missing out on so much money by not having them.

This is the only platform that does not have gift cards. Yes, you can use Visa gift cards, but they do not work very well. You cannot spread purchases over multiple cards, so if a game cost $15 and you only have $14 remaining on the Visa gift card, there is no way to use the remaining balance of the Gift Card. The transaction will be denied. This does not occur if you have a Oculus gift card or if transactions can be spread across multiple cards.

We need the gift cards! Seriously how did they miss the holiday opportunity of selling thousands of gift cards!

Seeing that games for the Oculus Quest are 4 (four) times more expensive than they are on the OC GO you'd think their R&D team would have thought of this by now. With a very limited number of games and the inability to transfer games from the GO to the Quest it seems the only logical solution.

Can someone tell me if you can use a visa gift card for purchase of games? It keeps having error message pop up on my visa gift card.

Its nice to see im not the only one. TBH this is getting to be a pet peeve with me. The whole " you need a credit card to buy a game" Anything for that matter these days.
Im at the point that when A game comes out - if it neglects steam or there is no option to get a card off the shelf that even if it eventually comes to steam I will not buy it or any of there products. I feel stung or thrown under the bus because I don't have a card. I refuse to get a credit card - its a life choice.
Not every one can buy these games or others who choose to make more money by side stepping steam. Steam works for every one - You just need cash at any big store.
I just want to scream at these companies either put out a card on the shelf or get off your greedy high horses and put it on steam for EVERY ONE TO BUY.
Im sick and tired of feeling like a second class citizen because I don't have a credit card.
Enough said - glad to see im not the only one.

I heartily agree. I received a Quest as a gift from a few people. As a caregiver , I don't get a break so the Quest is my one break from daily life. Some folks want to buy me games as gifts since I had to give up working to take care of my ill parents and as a result cannot afford any. If gift cards were a part of Oculus, it would allow people currently without means to enjoy more of what the system has to offer. There are literally five games of 29.99 that I would be gifted right now if the process existed. Please find a way to make it happen. It would mean additional revenue for you and wonderful experiences for us.
A win\win all around!
