I would like to show others the quest with a portable wifi router - one that doesn't need to be setup to the internet or as an access point

This would work in the park or dealing with slow internet networks.

However it seems like you need internet to start the stream (but it isn't needed after the connection is started)

How have others dealt with this?
Are there any options that others know about?

In den Apps, im Store, sind die Sprachoptionen. Hier ist angegeben, in welcher Sprache die Anwendung/das Game verfügbar ist/sein wird. Hier wäre es super, wenn dort auch hinter der jeweiligen Sprache in Klammern oder einer separaten Spalte hinterlegt ist, ob es sich um die jeweilige Sprachausgabe handelt, oder es "nur" Untertitel in der aufgelisteten Sprache dazu gibt. Aktuell steht allerdings z.b. nur "Deutsch". Ob nur Untertitel oder doch sogar Sprachausgabe in der jeweiligen Sprache vorhanden ist, weiß man dann erst nach dem Kauf. Grüße

When facing the guardian limit and still having to go straight in a game I have to trick by physically overturning myself (VR & IRL) and in the mean time use the thumbstick to virtually overturn again (VR only) so that I can walk straight again and remain in my guardian area.

It would be more efficient to be able to temporarily fix the virtual orientation while I am physically reorienting in my playing area in a fast maner (I.e by simply pressing a combination of buttons)

When playing a roomscale game I often feel limited by the guardian area size - even when set up to max size - so that I have to trick by using the thumbstick to move over the last meters to reach my target.

It would be useful if we could set the displacement calibration to our taste so that 1 step IRL provides 2 steps in VR.

This would also be useful for some games where I feel like I'm not walking as fast in game as I actually do IRL

The plastic housing of the Quest controllers are really thin in order to let IR light through so it can be detected by the headset. This results in fast damage or little bumps if you accidentally hit a table, wall, cat, husband or wife. If Oculus designed a transparent (sillecone) protective cover we can buy one and put it over our controllers so it can absorb the damage and avoid scratches when we hit a surface without blocking the IR light. This results in longer lasting controllers.

i would like to show some friends that aren't near me the guardian like I see it on the oculus quest. if people see the guardian as you walk into it. I think they would get the idea better

I love the controllers but what if they were part glove? Making it so you still had something to grip but could make hand gestures like pointing and manually select fire mode on a rifle with your fingers instead of a button.

I have a quest. On the My Profile page of the website on the left; there is a list of menu items. There is My Gear VR/Go; My Rift; but not a My Quest. When I click on the menu item for My Devices; it does show I have a quest and the correct ser#. Its just not one of the top menu item choices on My Profile page. Would be good to have.

To me, I am extremely satisfied with this game.
Except for the training, where the gloves shadows the controller gloves.
