Add 2-person CAST mode where the HUD controls only appear on the CAST screen and are stationary
I often need to operate the controllers while my 93 yr old mother just "enjoys the show" - for example when watching 3D videos.
The problem is that its almost impossible to operate the HUD controls because the headset wearer is constantly looking around and thus the HUD moves accordingly. The special CAST mode I propose has all the oculus HUD ( and APP HUD ) controls appear ONLY on the CAST screen ( until cast is turned off ) and has all the HUD buttons etc appear fixed in place so that one can operate the buttons easily.
So for example this would allow my mother to put on the headset - then after turning on CAST - I pick up one of the controllers and point and click buttons. And I wouldn't have to keep asking my mother to stop moving her head just so I can operate controls for YouTube or entering / exiting apps.

As an alternative to the above casting mode - using a display and the controllers maybe a better option would be to cast to a tablet but where all the HUD buttons get overlaid over the cast video and can be touched and click on etc to control the OCULUS.
Think of this as a kind of "remote control" option.

It’s to do with accessibility, and I call it:
the Two Person Driver Passenger Model.
Here's the problem: My 93 year old mother has severe dementia. I would love for her to be able to enjoy and benefit from what the Quest offers.
Although she can wear an Oculus headset, due to her dementia there's no way she is able to actually understand or control the Oculus using either the Touch controllers or hand tracking.
Even, if my mother wears the headset and I take control of the touch controllers, and use casting to the TV it's still hard to take control of the quest while somebody else is wearing it.
Not very practical.
So there must be many people, who could benefit from the Oculus, but who simply aren't able to actually control it.
So why propose this Driver Passenger model?
It would be a special optional mode - in their app so enabling two persons with Quest headsets to enter the app environment being linked together.
The idea is for example that you have a DRIVER that basically takes charge of everything, for example a carer in a care home who knows how to use the Quest and a PASSENGER - for example my mother.
The PASSENGER has for the most part a passive role once inside the VR world with maybe some limited ability for interaction depending on the nature of the app.
Moving around is handled by the DRIVER.
