No In-Game Ads in Paid Games
Rumours are circulating that ads are coming to games. After paying for a game I feel it is unjust to be subject to advertisements.

+1 I too agree that I don't want to be seeing ads in paid games.

I agree to see ads if they can bring more free games to the platform (with the mobile games watch-to-play strategy). I'm only highly against it if they want to add ads into games that cost money. Having simultaneously a non-ad paid app and an ad-sponsored free app of the same game is completely fine though.

Putting advertising in paid and subscription apps is unfair and wrong.

The moment a VR set as versatile as Oculus and without subscribing to Facebook is available, Im there. (And they will come.)
However, app developers that are looking for an additional income via 3rd party advertisers to paid members need to rethink their strategy.

Do not put ads on paid products. Ads on free stuff is expected. The reason I pay for subscriptions and buy games is so I don’t have to watch ads.

If it were on free games, I'd be ok with it. But to put an advert on an app that I pay $20/month for is ABSURDLY unacceptable. They say they're doing it for the developers to make more money - but for Supernatural Workout to do it - which costs $175/yr or $20/month with tens of thousands of subscribers - it's insulting.
This is simply greed in some cases and I'm tired of it. If it's truly for the developers that are getting started, put some sort of filter where only companies making under a certain $ are allowed to place ads and only for a specific time period so it doesn't turn into VR corporate WELFARE! (yes, I know they're paying for the ads, so it's not exactly corporate welfare, but companies pay into payroll taxes - just give me this!).
Use it on free games/apps. Use it in AltSpace and Horizon and the labs. But if I'm freaking paying $20/month for an app, I DO NOT want to see an ad in there! And from what I've seen, Supernatural is on the list to use ads.

Everyday this platform seems to get crappier and worse, I'll gladly pay more to a competitor to get rid of all the anti-consumer practices. In the mean time I'm about to go ham with steam purchases to keep money out of their system.

Putting ads in paid games like Beatsaber or Blaston will make the community despise you and Facebook more than they already did.
Nobody has an issue with free apps and games having ads in them. We get that.
But if I paid 30$ for a game and it has ads I will absolutely return it and the platform that supports this practice.
Where in the world have you seen a full priced game on steam, the epic game store or any other digital platform for that matter include ads in game for something you paid for?
If you go through with this - I will not be the only one looking to ditch this sinking boat for your competition.

To sign up to Oculus Uservoice, I was required to consent to opt-in to "product updates". It is downright in violation with the GDPR to force a user to comply with a service (products ads) that is completely unrelated to another service (Oculus Voice). Seeing your general disregard for the law, it doesn't surprise me that you go ahead and enable in-game advertisement. I feel justified to return my product now, even if my return period is expired, since the absence of in-game ads was the only reason why I, and many others, purchased this product.

Please keep ads out of games, especially those that have been purchased

Keep ads to free games or also reward users that OPT-IN with Oculus store credits for allowing ads over time.

Ads in free games, fine, we understand it needs to be paid for. But it's harder to swallow in paid games.
It certainly shouldn't be allowed for people who purchased a game previously, before the intention to incorporate ads into the game was announced.

I wouldn't mind ads in free games, but I don't want add in anything I pay for. Ads in the home screen should be limited to other VR games only.

I also feel this is over stepping I do not wish to see ad's inside of vr, if you're going to have ads have them IN the store. I will not be buying any game with built in ads.

Stop posting ads to IG! You have no products available for purchase. It’s f*cking annoying!!
