Oculus VR headgear 100% USELESS and WILL NOT WORK when Facebook disables Facebook accounts automatically
We are now going into day TWELVE (12) and we STILL are NOT able to successfully log into my "required" Facebook account to be able to use our Oculus Quest 2 VR headgear. We have FAR exceeded the 3-5 business days that we have been asked to wait to fix whatever issue surrounding the account that drives the equipment. We would very much like to, PLEASE, get our account issue resolved quickly so we can actually START to enjoy our Oculus Quest 2 VR system. It has been sitting in our living room collecting dust, NOT WORKING, since we purchased it. We have been waiting patiently for a resolution from your Facebook department for TWELVE DAYS NOW. We have been documenting this entire process for posterity, the courtroom of public opinion, for YouTube and for competitive companies that I intend to submit a full report upon final resolution as so they can learn Oculus/Facebook business practice in tandem with Facebook as so they know how Oculus customers are treated. Its good marketing research and case study from real customer experiences. CONSUMERS NEED TO KNOW PRIOR TO PURCHASE THAT FACEBOOK CAN LOCK OUT (disable) YOUR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT without ANY NOTICE or WARNING so that you CANNOT use your Oculus VR equipment. My account was disabled by Facebook accidently DURING SET UP of my Oculus Quest 2 VR headgear and we have NOT been able to use our Oculus Quest 2 headgear whatsoever now. Its now been 12 days and Oculus/Facebook still cannot get my Facebook account working, which also means we spent $399 on Oculus VR equipment that is dead hardware and will not work without the account. PlayStation and Xbox doesn't do this to their customers with their VR equipment, and they resolve ANY issues with equipment within minutes with their customers NOT days or weeks!!! We have chat transcripts from Oculus help/service that state that thousands of customers like me are experiencing the same issue as we are with a very "heavy volume" of support calls that is forcing Oculus customers to wait WEEKS for a Facebook "resolution" to their Facebook account problem(s) which prevents them from being able to use their Oculus Quest 2 VR equipment. So essentially Facebook decides if you get to use your Oculus VR headgear or not at time of SET UP, regardless if you spent $399 on it. You are forced to wait for Facebook approval and for them to fix the account, which can take up to 30 days or longer for ALL Oculus customers with VR equipment. VERY VERY BAD BUSINESS POLICY AND PRACTICE. This is the ONLY VR company that operates this way. All other VR companies give the user and owner FULL control of their accounts and VR equipment. Facebook decides if you can use your Oculus equipment at their discretion and they can LOCK IT OUT (disable) it ANYTIME without notice. Consumers MUST know this prior to purchase of an Oculus System as so they can make a well informed decision when choosing between Oculus, XBox, PlayStation or other. Oculus has been a NIGHTMARE experiance for us and thousands of others so far because of Facebook's poor account policies and practices. Your "required" FACEBOOK account can be automatically disabled at the time of set up of your Oculus Quest 2 equipment and it will take weeks for Facebook to fix it, if they fix it. We are still waiting after 12 business days now.

We are now into day Fifteen (15) and STILL waiting for Facebook/Oculus to fix/reinstate/recover my required FB account so that we can use our Oculus Quest 2 VR headgear. At what point does Oculus/Facebook acknowledge that they have the absolute worst customer service, help and support and response time in the history of the world? Thousands of customers like me are experiencing the SAME ongoing issues, but oddly Facebook wont disclose their poor policies and practices to consumers PRIOR to purchase of any Oculus VR equipment.
