allow screen casting of OQ2 headset regardless the account in use
Screen casting needs to be enabled always on the primary account, regardless the account in use, as it works now, you cannot screen cast at all when a secondary account is logged in
I have two Oculus Quest 2 to host friends at my place and play together using app sharing.
Both headset are on my primary facebook account, and one headset has "app sharing" enabled and i let my friends logging in with their own accounts.
When a secondary account is in an Oculus Quest 2 device, there is no way to cast the screen because it requires the primary account to be in use, and this is a serious issue because i need to see what my friends are looking at, particularly those making their first steps in VR.

Our family agrees as well. We should be able to cast from all accounts linked on the oculus headset.

Adding another family that is surprised that only one account can cast.
Ivan Holiakov commented
Totally voting for this. Can't cast when we have multiple family accounts.

Another vote for a fix. So hard to help my kids when they both can’t cast
James Zellman commented
Parents need to be primary to prevent app purchases by kids. Kids having secondary accounts should be allowed to screencast and also connect to their own phone. This functionality not being available is terrible and needs to be fixed immediately. That should be an easy developer change to the software to change permissions. Please make these changes ASAP so parents can maintain control and also be able to screencast their children’s content.
Bob Jordan commented
Absolutely. Who does FB/Oculus think is buying the headsets for the kids? I just bought two of them for my kids and I can’t even be the admin on both headsets and let my kids have their own account, and then still be able to cast and see what the kids are doing? I love the headsets but it’s not good that the only way to cast is from the admin accounts. You should think about how this works in a family that’s going to buy multiple headsets anyway.

Agreed! Purchased no more that 3 days ago and now this is an issue. REAL PROBLEM helping someone else with the learning curve. RED FLAG issue for sure.
Melanie Shandruk commented
This needs to be fix ASAP. Completely unacceptable that you can only cast the admin account.

I can't vote on this for some reason, so...VOTE!

Just got 2 OQ2 for this Xmas to be used with multi-user accounts. Biggest annoyance right now is this. Please allow casting for other accounts!

Yes! This is very annoying. I dont want to add high scores to my husband's account with his name in order for him to watch me play. I want to add my own high scores with my gamer tag and be able to allow him to watch me play. We critique each other and learn by watching each other play. Very frustrating.

The fact that you are even asking this shows a complete and utter lack of understanding as to want the end user wants or needs. This should have been included from the start.

YES, PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE!!
I don't understand why the Quest 2 can't do this already. It makes no sense and I wasted so much time troubleshooting before I discovered it's inexplicably impossible.
Randall Bennett commented
I can't update this but I need it. Trying to teach my kids and friends how to use it on a shared account is so much easier when I can see what they are doing.
Rafe Rodriguez commented
This is complete garbage!! I paid good money to have fun with others on this device! Now I find out I can’t see what they are doing if they are on their own account!!! This needs to be fixed!!!
Ken Jolley commented
This is sooo frustrating. Why on earth can't this feature be enabled quickly.
Kevin Cárdenas commented
I arrived to this thread by extensively searching for an answer on how to cast my vr experiences while secondary accounts are being used.
It is extremely annoying not being able to see what my guests are looking, especially if its their first time trying vr.
I demand this to be fixed, Meta. What's the point on blocking the permission to cast for secondary accounts? It is Just unfair.
Steve Palmer commented
Please, please, please add the ability to cast to all shared accounts. Your product is diminished when introducing it to a new user if they get frustrated because an experienced user is unable to help them through the process as they are learning the system. You have a great product but not being able to cast shared accounts is a significant negative. This needs to be a top priority fix! Thank you!

I can’t seem to upvote this, but for the love of God please Enable this!! Multiple accounts are pretty close to useless without it.
