Provide Anti-scratch lens rings for ALL Quest 2 purchases.
I would like to see Facebook address the very large issues of scratched lens' by including provided anti-scratch lens rings with the quest 2 rather than the spacer bracket for glasses, of which literally does nothing but give you a few mm more of space, it in no way prevents the glasses from going glass on plastic with the Quest 2 which results in horrific scratching of the lenses.
Facebook provides a spacer to users under the guise that it does something, that is specific for glasses wearers, and that is to allow more room in the facial interface to allow the space for glasses.
As a parent, outside of the know, when a child with glasses asks for an item like a quest or quest 2, it requires you to do a bit of research, you will likely come to find that there is a glasses spacer provided with the product and you will likely come to the conclusion that facebook took the time, to provide a spacer for glasses, so that should be all that is required for my child to properly use this device.
Though, that is not in any way the case. as upon first use with glassed, the spacer does not provide enough room between the lens' and the glasses which cause them to touch glass to plastic and the occulus, plastic lens scracth VERY easily.
As a requirement for consumer protections, Facebook should be required to provide a product that is not so easily destroyed by normal usage of a glasses wearer. It was clear to me by my research after the lens's were scratched after a single use, that this issue has been present since the quest 1 and nothing has been done.
Facebook is relying on the consumers with glasses to purchase an aftermarket product for 20$ to keep them from rendering their quests next to useless with horridly scratched lens's.
Most consumers do not and will not do the research required to know, that these silicone anti-scratch rings are the protection they need on their device if they wear glasses, or if they intent to allow ANY ONE to use their Quest 2 with glasses.
There are many instances where someone could have a mint condition quest and allow a friend with glasses to try it, and end up with a couple of scratched lens's, that quest is then pretty much useless, as scratches pull you right out of the immersive visuals.
I would like to request that Facebook take responsibility for their design decisions and make it right to the consumers by adding in an oculus branded anti-scratch lens rings with all quest 2 purchases. With these included with all Quest 2 purchases, people would have the ability to allow their friends to use their quest 2 and will ultimately be much better for marketing.
For anyone that does not wear glasses, this is a warning you will likely see after it is too late and you let a friend with glasses use your oculus, because what kind of friend wouldn't let their friends check out how awesome your new toy is...
Thank you for taking the time to read through my request and I appreciate all of you here working to make the quest 2 even better than it already is.

I agree Bryan, and ideally the quest should include both, not just the anti scratch rings and not just the spacer.

That spacer also helps people with large noses. Its not just for glasses.
Ventilation would be nice though.
