I agree, I don't want to own any google chromecast devices. I only own Roku devices and would think this is basic functionality... Roku TVs are very common for inexpensive smart TVs. Samsung phones still support miracast. Lots of other smart TVs still use miracast as well expect for android TVs which are obviously chromecast. The fact that Google basically snuffed out Miracast by dropping support for it in favor of their own seems very anti-competition like to me.
