Parental controls - lock browser
Please provide parents a way to lock the browser so kids don’t have unmonitored internet access.

I sent a question today regarding parental control and I got a strange answer. Are you serious? Is this irony? I don’t understand. In the little folder you tell me that I as an adult should not let my kids use the oculus too much, but you do nothing to protect children? When I look at all these messages I get really upset!

Greetings Asa, I hope your having a marvelous Thursday!
Thank you for reaching out to Oculus Support, my name is Marie and it's my pleasure to work with you today!
I understand that your kids are on your Facebook account playing the VR and you want to put the parent control. I totally understand I'm a mother myself, my 7 year old daughter uses my VR headset and there are something I don't want her to use. Let's work together and see what I can do.
I know this isn't the answer you want to hear, but the Oculus doesn't have the option to turn on parent control.
I hope this information was helpful.
All the best,

This is bull****. We just found out my 14 YO son has been looking at the most graphic **** on the Oculus and there is apparently no way to stop it. This request thread was started 2.5 years ago. What has been done about it??? Nothing! Why even have a "How can we improve" request if nothing is going to be done.

1. Facebook markets and provides Oculus to children
2. *********** is available in the browser
3. The browser cannot be locked
4. Facebook has provided *********** to children. Felony offense.
1. LAWSUIT! LAWSUIT! LAWSUIT!
2. CAN ANYONE ELSE SEE THAT IT'S PROBABLE THIS WAS DONE INTENTIONALLY. I DON'T THINK SOMETHING LIKE THIS OCCURS BY ACCIDENT. Like oops I guess we missed that really obvious outcome in the planning and development phases of the Oculus. Can somebody please sue them for this so that it gets done quick. Remember RC cars? What if you gave your kid an RC car for Christmas, and you pulled off the top, and there was a ******* stuck in there. Would you not be suing the company right now?
How is this any different?

There are several different threads with the same ask for parental controls.
Search for them and up vote them all. Maybe the management team will finally get off their *** and solve this.
Ridiculous that we have to beg for a feature that is so common.
I completely agree. We need to have a way to completely block or filter browser content. This NEEDS to be done IMMEDIATLY!!!
100% agree... My child just lost use of his Oculus permanently until this type of parental controls are available. Which means Facebook just lost Oculus customers to were spending a lot of money on games.
**** --- I just checked my son's oculus headset and found graphic **** in the browser. He didn't choose to see this -- it's popping up when he browses randomly.
Now I've spent hours trying to figure out how to block this, and it's looking like it's not possible.
Please please provide parental controls.

We need detailed and expansive parental controls! I don’t understand why this is so difficult to understand, or why occulus hasn’t already provided this for its customers.
Facebook has no problem censoring 'misinformation' -they- deem will 'harm' users, however they refuse to put basic parental controls on these. That's a really hypocrital double standard.
Absolutely provide parental controls! Block store browser, limit browsing to particular ratings, block chat room functions entirely, time limits, set times of day to disable the headset..... there should be a multitude of options for parents and families to choose for themselves! Very disappointed in this from oculus quest and leads me to believe they don’t care much about the needs of their customers!
