I don't like the whole Oculus Link Idea
I really dislike the new Oculus Link feature. Sure, I like that you can play all the Steam VR games on the Quest, but games from the Rift S and other Oculus store available games?
Let me explain a little better. I purchased the Oculus Quest because a Gaming PC that can meet the requirements of a VR headset is way out of my budget, just like a ton of other people. Your headset is amazing! And one of the coolest things about it that you see in all of your ads, is that you can play all the other regular VR games "WIRELESSLY", COMEPLETELY "UNTETHERED". So great, I don't need a PC.
But along comes the Oculus Link and defeats the whole purpose of the features I just mentioned. Now I have to have a PC to play the games I was promised to be able to play wirelessly. I hope you can understand why I'm so upset. This is really bothering me.
If you come across a situation where you're thinking about creating a game but its already on the Oculus Link, PLEASE create it anyway, so that me and all the other people like me, can enjoy it too.
Thank you so much,
P.S. Why don't you think about creating Minecraft for the Quest, I know 4 buyers who would guaranteed purchase the headset If this happened.
That makes sense and will increase the flexibility of the quest and I also have read complaints about the Quest online that some people are willing to return it because after awhile there isn't enough games for it..you can only watch so many VR videos gets boring after awhile.. not saying abandon the link altogether but the link does take more system resources which some games run very slow because of the extra strain it puts on less equipped systems many people can't afford for that kind of upgrade..

I love the Link option, it adds lots of great games for users. If you do not want to use link or are not able to, that is up to you. The link options does not hurt you in any way.

What they said, only adds features, not takes anything away. Also, Minecraft isn't up to Facebook, it's owned by Microsoft. For requesting Minecraft on the Quest, give your feedback here: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360043618132--Availability-Oculus-Quest
(fyi, you can currently sideload the Oculus Go version of Minecraft)
the Link has not stopped you from doing any of the things you mentioned. nothing has been removed
Why would you complain about optionally being able to play more games? No one ever promised that you can play the Rift games or all those SteamVR games wirelessly.
You can play Oculus Rift games with Link...
