Allow GearVR & GO 3dof remotes to work with the Quest. Great for Netflix/Movie viewing.
Allow the 3DOF Remotes for the GearVR and the Oculus GO to be used with the Quest in 3DOF mode for media viewing. The GearVR remote is easy and cheap to find and does not require any line of sight to work. Long battery life and small form factor is perfect for watching Netflix / SkyBox / Movies / YouTube / Etc. in low light / no light situations you won't be able to use your hands so a 3DOF Gear VR / Oculus Go remote is the perfect solution.

The Gear controller fits perfectly in the space where the full controller is too large/cumbersome (e.g. watching movies) but touch controls just don't have the fidelity or responsiveness needed. It's a simple point and click device that is already fully supported by the stack. Please add support.

I'd like a 3dof 1 controller mode as well for watching movies. No guardian, no 2 controllers needed. This would be make it as convenient as the go.

When dark mode (3 dof) comes to Quest, you could use one or both of the quest controllers in this manner. They already have the same sensors as the Go controller, so it would just be a matter of switching off the tracking LEDs to achieve the same functionality and battery consumption as the Go/ Gear VR controllers. And I don't think the Quest controllers are much more cumbersome than the Go/ GVR controllers.

Would love this as the Quest Touch Controllers freak out when they are out of sight for a while and if you get one close to the stationary guardian boundary then it pops up while watching Netflix or Skybox. The GearVR or GO remote will never, ever set off the boundary and I won't wear down my Touch Batteries.
