Give the ability to name your headset
Will be helpful for organization and casting a headset when you have multiple but don’t know the codes by heart. I’ve provided an image for what it can look like with the rename ability.

Yes, please. In a room full of people with Oculus Quest 2 headsets, all trying to pair with "Quest 2", this missing feature looks really bad.
Joel Moore commented
Yes, this is a really irritating aspect of having two Oculus headsets. Please let us rename them!
Jamie Thompson commented
I would also like to easily be able to tell the difference when casting.
George Zarebski commented
This can’t be an oversight. I’m sure it has something to do with the upcoming account flow ie. not requiring a Facebook account.
Greg Christopher commented
Like everyone else here. Why did I buy 2 of these?
Note: Oculus for business has this: https://business.oculus.com/support/483625379238518/
I think they have bigger problems with stability (I just did a factory reset as it no longer connects to the desktop). But this feature request seems obvious.

Yes! I've just bought a 2nd Quest 2 for the family and they both have the same name. Hard to figure out casting!!
Aaron Farrer commented
Please give us this feature!
Chris Hiebert commented
It's a little unbelievable that we aren't already able to do this. I'd love to distinguish between the 2 devices I bought for the family, especially to make casting easier.
David E. Wilson commented
Totally agree this needs to be done ASAP!!!
Matthew Towle commented
I agree. I've just bought a 2nd Q2 for the family and they both have the same name.
Christopher Douglas commented
Pretty much every other internet connectable system out there allows for you to name them to be able to distinguish between them. This really is a trivial thing that should have been there from the start. Please add this soon
Misha Zeltser commented
Agree!!! Please add the feature.
Michael Waldrop commented
please. this seems simple

I agree! You guys really shouldn’t be building/owning technology if you cant handle basic things like this. I am scared for the metaverse.

HOW MANY MORE HEADSETS WOULD BE SOLD IF WE WHO HAVE MULTIPLE HEADSETS TO SHARE THE VR EXPERIENCE COULD ACTUALLY IDENTIFY TO CAST THEM? This has been asked for for years ?!?! Geezus that's a depressing final answer.
TimandGretchen Tripp commented
Yes please! I have 2 Quest 2 headsets and am thinking about adding a 3rd, but this is such a pain and would be so easy to fix in the app!
Kapamaru Lam commented
Need this ASAP!!
Elizabeth A. Plunkett commented
This should have been available at the start, as you buy one for each family member, so how can you tell which is which.
Daniel Lucid commented
Yes please this is really needed! We have severals Quest 2 in the household.
With the latest app-update even the serial numbers have been removed (why?!) giving no indication on which headset is which. Please introduce simple naming so we can keep them apart and know which headset to cast where.
Jon Mayer commented
After getting my second Quest 2 setup, I was flabbergasted that this isn't a thing! They both just show up as "Quest 2" with a serial number. They aren't even in order of when I activated them, so I actually have no way to tell which is which. Please give us an alias function. If not in the headset, then at least in the app.
