Ability to back up game save data before factory reset
Currently, a factory reset removes all data including saved game progress. I was just advised by Oculus to perform a factory reset, hoping it would remedy a controller issue that arose immediately after the latest (26/7/19) update. I did back up all of the media on my Quest, but the reset has deleted all of my saved games. So not only do I need to download 10s of gigabytes of game data, I have lost 2 months of progress in every game. Why can't you backup game saves to a PC or cloud server?

The recent Star Wars Galaxy Edge dlc shows the need for this. Many of us uninstalled the game for much needed space. It deleted our game saves.
Now we have to complete the game all over to access the dlc.
A cloud save should not be a problem with a site like Facebook.
Yet there is none, lame. Most games have a way to save a game file.
With Facebook and VR being around this long, it should be a given.
Had to do a factory reset due to the issue that my store, bib and home were lost and didn't return... this killed hours of play, and that is annoying! I asked about any possibility to save the game progress somewhere else, but the support told me that there is no way to do that.
So, I lost hours of playing time to an issue that in my opinion was caused by the last update... and this is very frustrating and doesn't throw a good light on the software-section of the quest.
Had to return my Quest for a warranty issue. Did a factory reset before returning. Got the new replacement and expected to continue where I left off, like how Steam saves your game progress files in the cloud. No go. Lost all progress in every game that didn't have it's own account sign-in, which was all but two games. That's 6 months of progress for over a dozen games. Disappointed, but at least it's a fun system to have to redo everything all over again. But still... System was on Ver.10 when I returned it, new system upgraded to Ver.11 as soon as I paired it.
Just did the same! Verrrry angry
