Cast without wifi.
I don't have wifi and therefore can't cast to my phone. Can we get the ability to cast directly to devices, eliminating the need for wifi?

The mobile hotspot issue is the most pressing. It is a lot of fun to share the device with friends, but without wifi, it becomes a solo experience.

This issue has been the most frustrating thing I have had to deal with. There should be no reason I cannot connect directly to an Android

You can't cast to the phone app when the phone is acting as wifi hotspot. This should be fixed!

Sad that this gets so few recognition as its one of the most important features a Quest should have as you want to show VR off to friends.

Can't you just create a hotspot on the phoneand connect to it on the Quest and do the casting

I agree it's hard to really bring this this around and demo it off to its fullest.

I have clients that get nervous about casting in a noisy Wifi environment like a trade show. It might seem that it defeats the purpose to tether a Quest to a PC, but it eliminates the cost of a Vr ready PC and Rift S setup. An even more valid use case is tethering a Quest directly to a Monitor without the need for a PC or Wifi. This is a much simpler setup and can be a big cost savings for clients who want multiple stations in a tradeshow booth.
