Support for miracast
I would love to stream my experience on a big screen, but don't own any Chromecast. However I do own a lot of devices that support Miracast, and it would be great if the quest could support this too

Miracast is supported by almost all smart TVs except android TVs which are not as popular. This is a common standard that has been around for a long time now. Apple air play and miracast should be a basic functionality that was included.

I would love this too! I plan on playing with friends over and being able to share on my screen would infinitely help everyone engage with the player!

Just ran into this with my brand new Oculus Quest and my couple of months old LG TV. So now I'm looking at putting down another £30+ in order to get them to talk to each other, in order to get a Chromecast. Please implement this feature. Please :(

C'mon developers I will get a quest however this device needs to support miracast to make this a total entertainment experience, needing a dongle to "cast" is just not efficient enough.

Voting for this feature. Having to specifically have a chromecast for cast makes it an absolute pain ********** to set up at a friend's place. With all of the work they've put into hand tracking, passthrough, and features more friendly to beginners, I think adding Miracast support would complete the package and make the Quest a breeze to use for even inexperienced users.

nevermind the fact that miracast is a wifi direct technology so no extra latency because it doesnt have to connect via the router like chromecast does.

Miracast is the basis for practically every non-android based Smart TV. Serious oversight considering the Quest is advertised as a family device.

And let's not forget the biggest compatibility win of all: every Windows 10 PC is technically capable of being a Miracast sink that can display on any connected monitor. That's some overwhelming ubiquity right there. Get it done, Oculus/Facebook!

i am searching everywhere to find a wireless PC to oculus Quest video streaming and Quest to TV Streaming option.
Please suggest if anybody has found a way to do so.

also if you could allow miracasting to be sent to the hmd would be great, as I could effectively use it as a second monitor for my pc and use steam vr?

My Amazon FireStick supports Miracast but not Chromecast. Please support Miracast from the Oculus Quest to Firestick.

Please support Miracast. I can't believe I have a new LG C9 that natively supports Apple AirPlay and Miracast, and I still need to pay $70 for a Chromecast to stream Quest to it?
Wouldn't Miracast's WiFi Direct mean even lower latency than sending the signal through a WiFi router?

I have a TV with Roku built in which supports Miracast but not Chromecast. Many TVs have Miracast support. It's a common standard. Please support it.

We have five smart TVs in our house (various make and models), all of them support Miracast, but not a single one supports Chromecast. Casting to my phone works, and I can also use Miracast to mirror the screen to a TV, but for some reason it's not possible to do that at once, i.e. I cannot cast from the Quest to the phone and at the same time mirror the phone screen to a TV. Maybe it's a wifi bandwidth limit (even though I do have a fast 5GHz 802.11ac wifi network).
TL;DR ... Please add native Miracast support to the Quest.

I hope this comes soon. I don't like not being able to cast to my lg TV just because I don't want to buy an additional chrome cast device
