Built in recording feature not using mic (possible update in future?)
For content creators such as myself, I would like to do just one action, plug in my Quest, and upload. But right now, I can not as the built in recording feature will not activate the mic allowing me to record my voice.
I hope there will someday be a much easier way to record a video for Youtube instead of having to remain seated, put an external headset over the Quest, and use an external program like Audacity just to record our voice. the main selling point of the Quest is that there are no wires, and sadly, it would technically have to be a wired headset to work. I have the Logitech G430's, so that mean I at least would have to deal with a wired setup.

This should be mandatory ... has no sense to record a gameplay with my friends but lost my audio.
For capturing and sharing gameplay moments with friends and family or on social media, this is critical. Most of the time, you want to be able to narrate or commentate along with the gameplay footage. Currently, in order to do this, you need to use a separate microphone and voice recording software on a phone or PC, and then use video editing software to combine the commentary audio with the gameplay footage/audio - a very tedious process, especially if you don't need to edit anything else.
Even if it requires external headphones to be plugged in to avoid audio feedback, and even if it necessarily takes the microphone channel away from multiplayer games, it would be fantastic if this was at least an option for capturing internal recordings!
Do it please

Make it happen now please.
I was absolutely stunned to discover this wasn't just a standard built-in default. Couldn't for the life of me figure out why my voice wasn't being recorded, thought maybe my Quest was broken because... well duh, how could that possibly have not been a designed feature??? TOTAL fail on the part of Oculus. This absolutely needs to be added immediately. It's downright embarrassing.
We want to make recordings of the interaction being carried out with Quest for research purposes on education. Is there a possibility for our students to record the sound and the voice easily?
We will be carrying out several pilots starting in February 2020. So, we would need a quick solution.
Why the freak it s not possible

Literally trying to do the exact same thing here in November. For me the entire point of the screen recording is to enable my commentary on top of the game I'm playing.
Still no option?
