Ability to Switch Oculus Accounts Without a Factory Reset
The only way to switch Oculus accounts on the Quest is to perform a factory reset, losing all save games and downloaded games. Please provide a way to switch between accounts on the Quest without a factory reset.
I have an original Rift and a quest and would like to play online multiplayer games with family and friends. I have a decent game library on my main account. For games like Orbus or Eleven I am happy to pay for a second license to the game where 2 people will be playing at the same time. However, I would like to be able to take advantage of cross-buy where possible.
I have created a second account and purchased a second copy of Orbus. But to play any of my games on my first account I have to either buy them again, or perform a factory reset and login with my first account and download the game. It would be nice if I could simply switch between accounts with the reset, setup, and download.

@Vanessa
You do know you have to buy 2 of the same game anyway in order for your kids to play together right? Its not just an oculas thing 😂😂😂 -

Just purchased our 2nd Oculus headset as well thinking my sons would be able to play with each other but this is not a option without creating a new account and purchasing the game twice? This is the STUPIDEST things I've ever heard. Came across this post and saw multiple complaints so here i am adding mine hoping someone from Oculus or FB will see all our comments and make some changes.

I just bought two quest 2s and logged into both using my FB account. Now I can’t play games with my family because I can’t log off or change user names/FB accounts. I just assumed buying two devices I would be able to easily play together. First timer with a VR headset so didn’t realize that both of my quests would forever be tethered to the same FB account making them impossible to play together.

Trying to get multiple Oculus for a school environment, having to tie them to a single FB account makes this impossible.....

How is this not part of the Quest. Totally not family friendly, point about saved games and switching accounts, should be a no brainer.

Agreed you shouldnt have to do anything except switch accounts....my children don't need to have access to all my things, or my username....they should be able to pick it up, turn it on then click on their account just like every other social platform.....kinda strange this isn't already available.. I dont even know how to do it by resetting. For now they all just use my account...so sad

we had the options to have several accounts on the quest before!! and they sudenly removed it.. the way u did it was to make an shortcut to settings and then select users. from here u could make any user u would like to! super great future.. but why did they remove it!?

This is bad. I just bought this for use at my workplace, and we are multiple users of this device. Regret big time :-( Lets hope they fix this in some update...

Incredible Oculus does not have this ability. I dropped about $1000 on two headsets and some games and almost every console/platform has this ability for years. Time to catch up.

I'm in the exact same situation. Bought multiple copies of games for the two Rifts that I have and then when I got the Quest I can only log into one copy of Orbus unless I want to do a factory reset and redownload all my games. Not user-friendly for a bandwidth limited customer such as myself.

Here Here I agree, we should be able to create user accounts for who is using the device and easily switch between the games on these accounts

My company bought two quests for fun at work and for bringing home.
It would be nice to be able to switch them to my own account when i have them at my own home -

if added, i would buy a quest as already own a rift s. that means an extra sale and cross buy sales for me. without, then i see no point doing this, so lost sales imo.

Allow Multiple Accounts to use Each Oculus Quest and Oculus Go. I just got an Oculus Quest for my family of 5. I was upset to see that I cannot set up different users for each family member. For games where saves are important, only one person can play a game until the game is completed for else the later users will mess up the save file of the first users (e.g., Vader Immortal). This approach is very very family unfriendly. $400 was a lot for my family to spend on this. I can't buy multple Quests for my household. Please help!

I fully support this - but think it would be better if two or more headsets on the same account could play together. Slightly Heroes does it on Rift and Go.
I have a Go, a Rift and a Quest with Rush on all three but I still can't play with my grandson. It's his favourite game!
