Allow us to change brightness.
Allow the brightness to be changed like the Oculus Go.

There actually is a brightness slider on Quest 2. You need a bluetooth keyboard with display brightness hotkeys to bring it up. It's impossible to take a screenshot of it, so here's a blurry photo through the lens. This isn't a sufficient solution, but it does exist so that's a starting point. (BTW the only way I could get this screen to close was the volume mute shortcut on the bluetooth keyboard.)

It seems really crazy that there isn't a feature as simple as a brightness slider. My eyes start hurting after about half an hour.
please consider putting brightness control in, it would make the headset 100% better in my opinion -

Adjust the time and date, adjust the brightness, contrast. These settings should be default for gods sakes

I feel like this headset is destroying my eyes. Please allow me to adjust the brightness.

My two Quest 2 headsets will be returned for credit if a back-light dimming setting is not provided with three weeks.
Defective headsets! The godrays and smokey rooms everywhere are intolerable.

We are at Rift S version 2.2.0. I'm not sure if the comments below refer to the rift S, but we don't see anything in settings to adjust brightness.

I'm autistic (so super light sensitive) and if I knew about this going in, I definitely would've gone for a different headset. I'm sure most of us feel the same. Do you have any idea of the extent to which we enjoy staying inside and playing video games? 😂 Such a bad move

Upgrading to 18 was a downgrade for me :-(
Loved the brightness feature in the quick setings menu from v17 -

Okay... after the latest update 18.0.0.403.517.224382743 brightness control has just REMOVED from the experimental menu :-( now there is just volume control..
Really I do not understand... WHY?? -
Ben Raubenolt commented
They did finally add this after almost a year. It is a accessible using their new experimental navigation menu. This can be closed.

Ben Carter commented
Lmao this is literally on the first setting menu you see... use your eyes, It’s been there all along...

Until new driver update we lowed brightness from nvidia control panel. After driver update you have removed this workaround. You don't want to let user adjust brightness. Why?
I'm forced to use my rift with sunglasses, that's ridiculous -

It's already added

Oh hey it is there now, there's a slider under settings. Still doesn't go as dim as I'd want, but with sunglasses it's getting there...

Come on, add this basic setting already
