Allow the brightness to be changed like the Oculus Go.

The Oculus Quest 2 gives me some sickness just from the brightness alone. Avatars will pop in and they're extremely bright. Worlds in VR Chat will have brightness sliders that only control the lighting: luminescent features on avatars remain brightly lit, so it makes the problem worse. My eyes are very sensitive, a lot of users, myself included, need to be able to lower the brightness here.
I heard the workaround is to put a darker lens in front of my eyes while playing. I'll try to do that, but this is such a basic user comfort feature I'm shocked it has gone totally unaddressed for years.

Hard to believe there has been no acknowledgement of this problem. I used AppStarter for brightness control, but it recently stopped working, I'm guessing due to the most recent update.

I see a new brightness adjustment... BUT...
Brightness range needs to be increased. The minimum brightness setting is still too bright for one of my friends.

I have sensitive eyes I must wear sunglasses outdoors otherwise I get a migraine. I feel like we should have an option to lower the brightness even if this would somehow negetively effect resolution I would be willing to make that sacrifice. Anyone who likes it the way it is wouldn't be forced to adjust it but if some people wish for this feature why not?

How has this problem not been fixed yet? My eyes can't stand using my quest 2 for more than a few minutes if there is any white part on the screen because of the brightness.

Bring this feature, or at least give us a rationale for not including it - it was on O-Go so why is it not on Quest? how hard can this possibly be?

My right eye is more sensitive to light (dry eye). I wish i could lower the brightness! I use all my devices at lowest brightness possible. I love my Quest but every time I play I need to rest my eyes for 2 days!

Night mode is too bright, can't really endure with some games. A light adjustment bar would be nice.

After being a long time Oculus GO user with a history of Migraine usually triggered by bright lights. I have opened my Xmas present (Oculus Quest 2) and spent the 1st hour looking for the basic function on changing the brightness!!! For me, this brand new VR headset will not be used until I can reduce the brightness. I'm still in shock that a basic and really important feature is missing. I wish I kept my Oculus GO.

Please ad basic controls like brightness, saturation and contrast. I'm shooked these basic settings are nowhere to be found in 2020? The brightness and saturation out of the box is too much it's hurting my eyes.

the display of the oculus quest 2 and 1 is too bright . i have very sensitive eyes . i need the possibility to adjust the brightness . This has also criticized almost all my friend. It also reduces the power requirement and is good for earth .
Please reinstate this function, it is very important for me and all other users.
Thank you very much

The brightness on the quest 2 is horrible. It causes higher ocular distortion and is tiring on the eyes. I put in a ticket after the first day of usage and Oculus technical support were not helpful at all jumping from one tech to the other every day. They wanted me to take a snapshot of what I saw through the lens. My Quest 1 uses OLED, so it has better dark levels. I tried the developer solutions of setting the brightness to 0 but it doesn't keep the settings. The night settings gives it a sunset tone but is still too bright. PLEASE FIX IT!!!

Yes, even the "night mode" is too bright, just warmer colors.

Please add this as a basic in device supported option, even I am surprised this isn't there, it is hurting my eyes and there's no way to make this adjustment within the basic supported settings interface...
