Mirror audio when casting to phones
Though you can sort of hear audio through the speakers on the headset itself, it'd be far better for spectators if you could hear audio through the phone too, especially when the person using the headset is wearing headphones.

If you cast to the website instead of the app, you can get sound. There is a delay, so it can be really distracting.

I agree that ability to mute casted sound woud be very appriciated. Im casting to Oculus app (on Samsung) or to TV (with built in Chromecast), but sometimes the casted sound is not welcome. Only solution is to mute TV or phone and it is not good solutiion.

At least give us the option of being able to hear when using the oculus app to cast.

I just figured out 2 minutes ago that if you have an aux cord and a speaker, you can connect it to the headset and that'll play the sound for everyone. It's annoying to have a cord in your way, but it works!

Doesn't appear to be implemented - would be incredibly useful when a chromecast is not handy but you have a USB-C to HDMI adapter to share. Also for travelling to other places, it's not feasible or desirable to set up the chromecast.

It would be really nice to be able to cast audio from my phone to my headset if I want a bit of background music.
If Oculus wanted to go above and beyond they could use the Spotify API so that the Oculus Companion app would be able to pause and play Spotify, while transmitting audio over bluetooth to the headset. This would allow for the user to pause, play and skip music from the Oculus Quest native menus without having to take the headset off.
Even just allowing the Quest to be used as a virtual bluetooth headset would be an awesome improvement, perhaps using AVRCP for media control and track retrieval.

When casting to a mobile device allow the castio g of audio. This would be great for games like beat sabre where you want to hear the music.

Kind of worthless until they can get rid of the lag.

Isn't this implemented now? I was sure I heard audio through my phone last time I tried casting to it.

While it is implemented, a quick fix is to use bluetooth receiver connected to your device.
You can have some Chinese product for 5€ (or high quality for 200 €)
Then you delay the video recording of 400-1000 ms and you have a nice broadcast with audio.https://github.com/EloiStree/CodeAndQuestsEveryday/issues/155#issuecomment-500104026

It works when you cast to a chromecast but the delay is so big that i always mute the sound from the TV
