Provide a better head strap, preferable a halo thing, like the one of the Rift S. The original one hurts my head badly.
See above.

This is really a personal thing... For me It works perfectly and I don't feel it up until 3 hours of playtime... Check that you are putting it on properly, the top strap needs to be adjusted extra long so that when you put it on, it almost touches your neck

I do not agree! I like the firmness. I have PSVR, it has a halo strap and the thing flops around distorting what I see. I am constantly having to readjust it no matter how tight I try to make it. I rarely need to adjust my Quest once I get it in the position I want and I thrash around in that thing far more than I do in PSVR. I understand what people are saying about the pressure. It bothered me some in the beginning but my face got used to it and I greatly prefer that to the alternative. You can already get a halo type fitting for it if that's what you want but I wouldn't?

I agree the headband sucks. Halo is the way forward. Please fix.

oculus can even make money with this... id be willing to spend 100$+ for a more comfortable headstrap and i know a lot of other users are -

Yes, for the money you pay for this HMD, the supplied strap is abysmal in terms of fit and comfort for many. No amount of adjusting works for me (constantly rides up at the back) unless strapped opressively tight. Resulting in burning pain across my forehead or cheeks. Mods help to some degree but are far from perfect and that's extra cost we should not have to pay (look at the build quality of the Index strap for example) Counterweights add to the weight in a way that some users find just as uncomfortable for longer sessions (taking the whole weight to over 1kg to get the HMD balanced right really isn't a good option for cervical issues) Seriously, do better next time, balance the HMD out of the box, supply us with a better strap option for this current headset etc...

It's insane how the original straps passed quality control imho. It's the most uncomfortable thing one can imagine... even 10 minutes of usage leads to pains and bruises. Tech-wise it's a great headset, but so many people are now made dependent on third party mods that takes months to arrive. Oculus, give us a break and make a Halo Headstrap allready. Would pay 50 bucks for sure.

It would make the Oculus Quest the definitive VR experience! This only thing could really make VR something for everybody, and suitable for every type of games, even longer ones!!!!!
Please don't procrastinate on this, or just say "the Quest 2 is going to have it" because the Quest is already a perfect device except for this thing!!!!!! -

Yes! That would be game changing! I'd even pay 60$ to have something like this!

I have tried modding the Quest 3 times now for comfort and nothing solves the issue for my head shape. Please release an official halo style headband for Quest. The Quest headstrap is unuseable for me. It has come to the point where I am going to attempt to fashion my Rift S headband on to my Quest.
I understand that this is a very difficult engineering problem because the ergonomics are related to weight and optics and form factor and all other design choices, and that everyone has a different head shape and size, but you could at least sell a Rift S style halo for those that want it... I have seen Mr Carmacks talks at OC events where he expounds upon this exact issue, but you could at least sell an alternative headstrap...

If they do not sell one for this generation at least if we get enough votes on here they may make sure next gen is better.

This thing is a pain in the (a@#) face. Please develop a halo/audio solution for those of us that are having these issues.

I simply can’t get a comfortable fix on the quest headstrap. I try to get comfortable more that I am able to play which is 20 minutes max and in pain at that!

I'll add my hat to this ring... First uses led to a massive migraine that emanated from the skull bones just behind the ears (putting hands on ears and feeling straight back towards the center of the back of the head). Excedrin Migraine and a nights sleep still didn't kill this one off.
Whoever decided that the lighter Rift S needed a Halo and the heavier Quest did not needs to be fired!
The PSVR is a seriously heavy, large unit but you'd never know because of the halo head mount.
Got a third party developed one on order from China, but won't be here until like Feb or March. I guess until then a washcloth folded up under the strap across the back of the head is the solution.
Simply pathetic.

Seriously, this. The Quest strap is beyond terrible.

I've had my Quest since launch and as more content rolls out, I want to use it for longer periods of times.
The only thing stopping me is the awful strap and lack of comfort... I really don't understand how this made it through QA without someone saying..."hey..what if we were to offer a more comfortable strap?...you know, for users that intend to use it for more than 20 mins".
