Add option to remove red dot when casting to phone/other device
One of the main use cases for the casting feature is to have someone unfamiliar with the Quest using it and someone else watching what they are doing and helping them. However, turning on casting currently adds an annoying red dot that detracts from the experience of the person using the headset. Please add an option to remove it.

As always, thanks to everyone who voted for this idea! I’m pleased to announce that a new option to disable the red dot indicator has been added with the v17 Quest software update! Simply head to the Settings > Device menu and look for the “Video Capture Indicator” feature. Toggling this off will make it so the red dot no longer appears within the headset when casting, recording, or livestreaming. For more details on the v17 update, check out our full release notes here: https://support.oculus.com/release-notes/

Thought i had a broken system before searching. Seems like it should be an easy fix to either move or have the option to remove.

Please remove the dot when casting to a phone , it’s really annoying and seems completely pointless... also is it possible to cast the audio as well.

I thought I had a faulty quest and nearly returned it! Whoever thought this was a good idea needs sacking!! It already asks to confirm casting so why the .... do we need to be reminded during what is an amazing experience. It totally detracts from it and ruins it to be honest

This idea is terrible. I returned 2 quests to the store thinking they were faulty! I thought it was a stuck pixie and was really ****** the second time. I felt stupid then realised there is no warning about the red dot anywhere on screen when you cast, on the head set of the device being cast to 🙄 Either give the option to turn it off or move it further out of view. This is game breaking for me as it ruins the experience when casting
