On Demand Passthrough button like Rift S
It would be nice to be able to toggle Passthrough on-demand like you can with the Rift S to be able to quickly see the world around you without having to pull the headset off of your face.

Good news! As part of the most recent Quest software update (version 15), we shipped Passthrough Shortcut as an experimental feature. To turn it on, navigate to Settings > Experimental. Once on, you can trigger the Passthrough camera view at any time by simply double-tapping on the side of the headset (no button pressing required!). Thanks again to everyone who voted for this idea!

Did anyone else see how good that simple edge filter passthrough looked in the YouTube video of the Vive Index hacking?
I’m talking about the first method he shows, start of the video, I didn’t think as much of the other methods.

This need to happen, if I die of dehydration because I can't find my water bottle my family will avenge me .

While I think this is nifty it's just as easy to quickly pause and lift the headset to see. I think there are other features that need to come well before this.
Do you wear glasses? I do and it is not that easy for me. The sooner this is fully implemented the better!

Would be great to make the option to toggle + to access the stream in Unity

This would be cool, if they can do it on the Rift they can do it on the Quest.

How is this NOT already a feature? Just a double tap of the home button would be enough.

Passtrough on-demand to be able to interact fastly with real world would be nice, but this would also kill the immersion...
For immersion purpose, just toggling guardian wall on-demand would allow user to locate himself in his play area. This is useful especially when you are to make a large displacement, which is one of the reasons I bought the quest!

Regardless of any features that passthrough might be good for, like scanning the environment, I just want to see what I'm looking at in the real world and position myself in my room without having to take off the headset. Doesn't really make any sense why the Rift S supports this feature but the Quest doesn't.

Would be extremely useful, definitely! And a significant safety enhancement as well.

I was disappointed this wasn't an option within the home button settings. Double-click to initiate pass-through?

Additional to this but related. It would be great to have pass-through theatre mode while web browsing or watching movies.
The Quest seems to have quite a lot of potential to provide a kind of pesudo-AR.

Yes, even though I have no idea where to put the button for that

If you want to create a consistent ecosystem you should unify things like this

Let me triple click the triple line button, and one press to go back. No pop up hud talking about the guardian or anything.
