Yes! Not just for kids, but also for adults who don't want to be tempted with easy access to "adult" apps and websites.

Sold my children's Oculus headsets when I found out they didn't have ANY FILTER or parental controls! Right- they have a box on their heads with a screen to view any and all. unlimited content-NOT!!!! (One is begging for the Oculus Quest 2, so I looked to see if they put controls on. Guess what, Oculus? We WON"T BUY IT WITHOUT CONTROLS OR THE ABILITY TO FILTER!!) Sheesh! My boys accidently viewed **** when they were younger because we weren't internet savvy. I think these developers want this generation hooked on filth. Not mine- God stepped in and they WANT to be safe online.

I'm considering returning Oculus 2 ( two headsets) as without parental control it is not to standard I would expect to be use by children.

I cannot believe there are no parental controls with the ability to download any free game/app and a browser. Please do the right thing and put on parental controls or this is going straight back to the store.

I received the oculus quest 2 as a gift for my kids. I had no idea that were no parental controls on this device, that is irresponsible on the parent company's part. a simple pin to access content would do it.

it would take way less money to add a pin to the browser then what they are losing in sales from not having it!!!

I CANNOT believe a system this advanced does not have parental controls! It’s very inferior and irresponsible on the part of the developers. With *********** being something that many parents are cautious about for a very good reason, this is a dangerous toy in the hands of young teens. I’m very frustrated with this device and we will be returning it.

Returning this. Did not realize there was access to a browser and that my kids could download any free app. Found my 12 year old son using this on the neighbors WiFi to watch ****. Until there is a pin required for all downloads we won’t own this.

You can walk right into a porn chat on the social apps. It says 17 plus on the chat room, of course younger teens will want to log on. It a click away.
This is not acceptable. We should be able to set our account to child friendly and block these adult chat rooms.
Please give us this option.
Please protect our children. Give us at least a chance. -

I don't understand who would think that 13 year olds can use a VR device freely with no kind of supervision. It is so important to have measures in place in order to protect our children. While my child is quite responsible and a great kid, there are strangers out there who are prying on our children daily. I am not sure we will be allowing our child to use this device. It is definitely going to be returned.

I cannot believe there are no options for Parental Controls on this device... I don't understand why. Browser Blocker, Chat Blocker, etc. Things that make it so the kids can only play local games, not online multiplayer etc. I would really appreciate these being added. This makes it hard to allow my 10-year-old to use this device. I never knew there were no parental controls. I just looked over the terms of service and it states the device is only for 13+. You cannot truly think that only adults use this video gaming device...this TOY.... I mean.. come on...

I wish I'd seen this thread before. purchasing for my 12-year-old, I may return the item until controls are in place. Even 13 is too young for complete access to the internet in an immersive experience. We definitely need parental controls. Someone asked how to get more responses. How about change.org?

The idea that you would make a platform that offers innocent games for children but offers no parental controls is absolutely absurdThere are way too many adult mature and other things that are not suitable for my children and obviously I reserve the fact that all parents should be able to make them decisions for their children. Now I have to return this item but if you decide to add parental controls I will re-purchase

There needs to be a browser lock out. I only want my kids to be able to access the content we agree on together.

A technology device for kids with a hidden screen and a browser that has no parental controls. That’s a little creepy for parents.

Watching this closely. Will not purchase until this is in place along the same lines as Apple Screen Time controls. At the very least there needs to be time limits. Full control over what can be installed ( by parent consent only) and ability to control child usage time by apps and by days of week. As I said, I would love to buy one of these but cannot and will not until parental controls are available.
