  2. CPU Expansion Option?

    I've seen quite a few demonstrations of external batteries to keep the Quest operational longer, which people have worn on the back of the head strap. And with the USB-C cable you can connect the Quest to your computer and side load apps, etc. Would it be possible to use the USB-C connector to support an additional CPU for rendering purposes, that could be worn on the back of the headset or on a waistband? I realize this would be getting away from being completely tether-less but if the tether is local to you, does it matter? My understanding is…

  3. Displacement calibration

    When playing a roomscale game I often feel limited by the guardian area size - even when set up to max size - so that I have to trick by using the thumbstick to move over the last meters to reach my target.

    It would be useful if we could set the displacement calibration to our taste so that 1 step IRL provides 2 steps in VR.

    This would also be useful for some games where I feel like I'm not walking as fast in game as I actually do IRL

  4. Provide an easier way to get video captures and screenshots off of the headset

    Right now you have to plug in a USB, put the headset on to allow the connection, take the headset off, then navigate to the DCIM folder in the Quest directory, then copy or cut to the PC. While it's awesome we can even do that, it's pretty unwieldy.

  6. Guide/Guided mode for seniors

    I would like to be able to take my 85 year old friend Bob on a guided experience in the Quest. One where his hand controls are disabled and we are in the same VR location. Bob would be able to look around and get the full VR experience, but he could not move his location or interact with the system. I have written up a longer description of this request here:

  7. More custom settings for the main screen in the dome room

    My initial impression of the default main screen is that it's too high and too close. Sometimes I find myself straining my neck to look up to see it all. Sometimes it's no problem at all. And sometimes it's perfect. However, my position in my own environment changes and because of that my angle of viewing the mainscreen does too. I know we can adjust the screen left, right, and up. But there is a fixed "base" position. Can we have more control over that base? Also the "zoom" or size of the screen should be adjustable too.

  8. Download Oculus Browser possible bug fix

    I noticed that downloading videos above 2GB in Oculus Browser doesn't actually result in download completion. Was this intended or am I missing something?

  9. Better handling of Proximity when both the Headset and the Controllers are in the 'guardian trigger zone'

    Hi,

    There currently is a problem with the way Guardian handles proximity when both the controllers and the Headset are in close proximity of the boundary.

    Currently:
    When the Headset is close to the boundary, the fading-in degree of the guardian boundary is Exclusively related to how close the Heaset is to the boundary.

    What does that mean?
    If the headset is not close to the border, then guardian works fine. When controllers approach the boundary shows. As expected.

    But when the headset is making the guardian appear, the fading degree will NOT be affected by how close the controllers…

  11. Passthru controller markings for Right Left controller are the same

    In passthru view in Polish language version both controllers are marked "P" as in "Prawy" meaning Right. There should be one "P"- Right one "L"-Left

  12. Try to patch xhelper malware

    Symantec warning

    To reset smartphone is useless. Android auto reinstall xhelper.

    There is not in the app store yet, but other malware could take advantage from that Android's bug for persistence.

  13. Cast 3rd camera to PC, a variant of the existing Mixed Reality capture for OBS

    Oculus recently posted an OBS Plugin and Android app that will sync a real camera position with the game scene, and then the Quest creates a 3rd camera. It sends 2 layers of visual information to the OBS plugin, being in front of & behind the player, which OBS then composits with the real player on a green screen, to make it look like the player is in the world.

    As a developer, I'd like the ability to use a similar system to send that 3rd camera to the PC as a normal scene view - no OBS or real…

  15. Smear the pointer

    I noticed the pointer on YouTube vr has almost motion blur, it kind of stretches as you move it around. I think that would look nice on the oculus quest home page as well. With the low refresh rate it looks kind of choppy at the moment.

    В данный момент недоступна функция трансляции изображения со шлема виртуальной реальности на Chromcast из приложения виртуальной реальности. Я должен на телефоне указать приложению транслировать на Chromcast. причём, как я понимаю, телефон на данном этапе участвует лишь в качестве пульта управления.
    Мне как уверенному пользователю кажется что это атовизм.
    Прошу Вас рассмотреть возможность организации трансляции изображения из приложения виртуальной реальности, непосредственно на Chromcasеt, исключив из цепочки телефон, пусть я и должен буду выйти на нём из приложения.

  17. ASW3 for TV/Monitor games too. Sony could be interested on exchange technology

    Sony probably is interested on 30->60 FPS with a better technique than ASW2 for all their games, for TV and xR (VR with 72->144)

  18. Camera support for the quest

    It is amazing how great the oculus quest tracks just by itself but it could be even better if you were able to also pair it with the cameras you use for previous systems to assist with tracking. It can easily stand for itself but for people that want to truly dedicate time towards this device would benefit and SPEND more if you allowed it to be “upgraded” with these cameras and be assisted with a pc kinda like it is with the side loader application. Thank you for your time!

  19. Point Oculus Touch controllers downwards to start moving forward in direction looking

    You would be able to point Oculus Touch controllers downwards to start moving in direction looking as if you were actually walking. It’s more smoother than the action by using the thumb stick. It’s perfect for us all who doesn’t have a large play area for the Quest but still able to move 360 degrees around with arm lengths around

  20. Fixed guardien, real live point = game ponit

    If you play creed or richies plank experience, the plank aren't always in same position, sometimes the plank are out of the guardien zone, I want a option to fix game ponit withe room point. So your orientation is better and your game and room Kontroll is more stable.
