PLEASE bring back the “NEVER” option in the Auto-Sleep settings.
One of my most common uses of the Go is as a video streamer. Apps like Netflix, Hulu and YouTube all feature content that run well past the 15 minute mark. Most of the time I watch these type streams, I’m reclined and typically still. It is EXTREMELY annoying when the auto-sleep feature kicks in and powers down the device. The NEVER option worked beautifully in preventing this issue but, for some unknown reason it has been rolled back. Please re-enable this feature...it was super useful!

Any updates on this? We bought multiple VR headsets to run in Kiosk mode in our museum and now this 15 minutes limit breaks the entire exhibition.

I've recently started trying to use my Oculus Go for relaxation and I agree that the auto-sleep behaviour ruins the whole experience. You can't actually relax because you have to concentrate on moving your head half-way through the session or face the app shutting off a few minutes later, at which point you have to fumble for the controller and sit-up to unlock the Oculus. Talk about frustrating!
It’s absolute madness, compounded by the fact that you can’t disable the **** setting!
I’ve tried selecting the 4-hour sleep mode and factory resetting the device but I still get no more than about 15 minutes before I’m staring at a black screen and using swear words. Maybe I need to do more?
This has to be one of the worst ‘features’ that I’ve ever encountered.

AND just try developing on a Quest!! wow what a horrible experience when this stupid hmd keeps shuting off every time you sit down to fix one line of code. ridiculous, this is why I am so pleased with my HTC Vive, it has been a life saver where Quest 2 has been a nightmare.
What I don't understand is why even in developer mode, there is still no way to disable auto-sleep. I mean why not just say "developers not welcome" because that sure is how it feels when it comes to developing for this deveice?

I like to use it to listen to youtube videos, podcasts, etc when I fall asleep with a Bluetooth speaker, but if I don't move the remote, it shuts off. Please fix this :/

Agreed! This causes a lot of problems!

Agreed. Terrible decision and no one from Oculus is helping to solve it.

I was going to buy an Oculus Go. A friend lent me hers to try first; good thing she did! Why does it shut off every 15 minutes like an overheating laptop? I would love to buy your product but I can’t until this is fixed. Fix it and take my money!

The new option of 4hrs in the 9.0 fw is no solution if the headset turns black after 5min of physical inactivity...

Amazing - there are so many threads on reddit, the oculus forums and on different other sites, where people are trying to figure out why this stupid removal with the 3.6 firmware has been done. The people are setting up servers and sending strings via adp, trying to keep the Go alive. I 3D printed myself a console with a mechanical button that pushes the volume keys every 14 minutes in the hope of getting a workaround done. And nobody from oculus/facebook cares about this issue. My Headset is totally useless since March 2019.
PLEASE BRING THIS FUNCTION BACK!

The disabling of the Never option really renders the Go useless as a media device, if you want to just sit back or lie down and enjoy a movie. I cannot fathom the mental logic meltdown that was happening when this decision was made. Please do bring the Never option back!

Please can Oculus give us an option to turn the auto-sleep never back on?

That's a shame. This is a media device and they cancel this purpose. Jesus.

I can't fathom why the Never option was removed. For a decide designed primarily to consume media, having the thing sleep every few minutes that a user isn't moving is absurd. WTAF!

Yes! We bought our Oculus for use at events and don't want to give customers the controller (as we don't want this to get lost). Because of the sleep mode, we used to be able to leave the content running and they could simply pick up the Oculus and watch the video. Now we have to have someone on hand to start the content again every time someone picks it up which just isn't feasible! The Oculus totally isn't fit for our use any more and we will be considering alternatives.

I'm thinking about returning mine over this. I got the thing to watch movies and TV on. That is just not possible on this without the option to turn off auto sleep.
