I consider myself lucky as I did not connect Facebook at any time. I do not have a Facebook account either. :-). I bought the Rift before Facebook bought Occulus. I am basically being cohersed into Facebook and I am not having it. They are already adding new popouts when using their software asking me to sign in to Facebook.

As soon as Facebook require me to sing up for an account to continue to use my Rift it is eWaste.
