Facebook is for trolls and the like. Nothing but trash talking and unwanted drama. I don't log into mine and probably never will. Requiring Facebook for the Oculus will definitely steer a large amount of people to other VR headsets. I hate Facebook so much I wont even associate my real email with it. Facebook only gets my trash email address that's completely ignored.

If Facebook demands we login with them to use our headsets, maybe they should be paying us for using it, seeing as they're undermining our privacy for ad profit.
Looking forward to rival headsets! -

Hope you got your refund. Forcing the buyers of Oculus products to sign up for a Facebook account completely changes the meaning of the word "transaction." In many countries, this would be called extortion. The following is posted on the Oculus Quest 2 webpage on amazon.ca: "Quest 2 requires your Facebook account to log in, making it easy to meet up with friends in V.R. and discover communities around the world." It may be difficult for F.B. to understand this, but not everyone is dying to "meet up with friends in V.R...." via an account they are forced to create and join.
