Can you support a public school pilot project for VR Classroom for distance learning? email@example.com
I spoke to a representative from Vancouver School District Superintendent’s office regarding developing a “Traditional School, VR” in Sansar as an answer to a better ‘distance learning’ option to Zoom meetings. I have friends inworld from Sansar Studio and Linden Lab that can help development of the classroom, but no funding for computers and VR headsets. Would Oculus be able to donate some equipment for a pilot protect. My motivation comes from desperatation after being AWOL from my profession as a land surveyor. I have a BS in CE, not a masters in education. I need to be out in the field doing what surveyors do, not struggling to be Professor Dad! The rep from the Superintendent’s office said funds are tight. Sansar is in a shoestring budget themselves. The truth is that no body can afford this pilot project so I think we should ask the people who can afford the least for not to have a project like this and I landed on business themselves are the ones who can least afford for something like this not to happen. That would be businesses itself. Many much needed employees such as myself are being held captive by closed schools and being unwilling thrown into a teachers role. I personally lost close to $20k in lost wages. This forced upon parent teacher hood is holding the businesses employees *******. I feel it’s businesses responsibility to free those hostages so the can return back to work and repair our damaged economy. Also businesses such as yours could stand the best chance of benefiting if the pilot project is successful. More school districts will follow and more and more of your products will end up in the homes of K-12 students. I posted this proposal in Discord on the Sansar tab and it has already seen world wide. The developers in Sansar are also intregued with this use of VR to simulate Traditional School as an option to rescuing our public schools and returning the parernts, AKA businesses employees, perhaps some of your employees back to their workplace so the can focus on reviving our economy. Can you help?
