Fix dirt rally 2.0 so you do not have to constantly swap the headset to hit a keyboard key and then put the headset back on
I am a long-time user of dirt rally from steam. Yesterday I purchased dirt rally 2.0 from the oculus store. It was a great mistake. I had hoped (presuming that oculus had done the reprogramming) that the necessity for having to take the headset off to press a keyboard key to change a menu, setting etc. and that hopefully the oculus hand controllers would now be available for that function. Sadly, that is not the case. I constantly have to swap the headset off to press a key on the keyboard (obviously it is very difficult to fumble around with the keyboard with the headset on). It would seem to me that the oculus programmers would have implemented the hand controllers to make menu selections and then when you start driving have them disappear from the screen and possibly detect movement of a controller and make them appear on the screen to perform a function such as bring up a menu etc. while driving. It is maddening to have to swap back and forth. In addition, the menus that appear typically require function keys from the keyboard, the appearance of them is so tiny in the headset that I had to stare to see if it was after f1 etc. I have requested a refund since I really do not see any real improvement over the original dirt rally. Once your driving, yes, the graphics are just great. Just think about it when starting the game you have to reach out and press return on the keyboard to make it past the warning displays etc. so you have to take the headset off find the return key and press it then put the headset back on. To change venues i.e. the track etc. these tiny little boxes appear on the screen that contain a function key again they are truly very difficult to read and when you do you have to take off the headset pressed a key on the keyboard then put the headset back on. It makes no logical sense whatsoever. If this ever becomes corrected I will happily purchase dirt rally 2.x again.
