Optical handtracking for Rift S
Please make sure that - alongside Quest - Rift S will also get optical hand tracking. Parity between the headsets should be a high priority. Currently there's no clear commitment either way and Rift S users shouldn't be left out if there's not a serious, technical reason.
I understand it's not the same hardware as the Quest but it's a must have.
I didn't buy the S over the Quest to be leftover, I wanted the best Oculus had to offer, don't make me regret that choice.

Yes its a must that this feature comes to the rift s

Guys at Oculus ignoring Rift S users and not delivering appropriate support for the PCVR users is very frustrating and disrespectful, as Rift S is almost same price as Quest.
I think that you did this intentionally to kill the Rift S .. If so you need to be honest with your audience and customers to don't waste their money on the Rift S instead of Quest as I did -_- :(
I don't think its fair that us Oculus Rift S users are left out of this whole deal, regardless of were the majority of users are, us PC gamers still exist and its obvious neglect, considering we just ****** away $400 dollars into the wind and you guys aren't concerned about us it seems.
I'm Looking forward to this topic! Rift S needs hand tracking to get more value for its price!
I’m sad because I’ve always wanted pcvr and to see the quest getting all the love makes me feel left out. I really hope they’re working on something good for rift s users out there.

rift still has no full body, no hand tracking support....
Common give hand tracking to the rift s. Then Quest is good if your only on the go otherwise they are going to spend all of there time connect to to type c usb. lol it only makes since for you to bring it to the rifts. if not i may not get another Oculus product. This business Move isn't setting well with me. I love my rift s But i feel i would get better content and updates with HTC Being on pc. Facebook is trying Build and expand the market. I just Hope they don't learn from apple and kill off the rift s like apple did the the ipod
at least I will see much less people arguing about which headset is better.

I thought that will be come at some point because people just started to sell their rift s to buy the quest
just to have this handtracking.

Please add hand tracking to the Rift S. We know you can do it.
I was so cheesed when I heard the quest was getting these updates. but their more powerful, and more capable HMD wasn't yet. it's like a new technology being found, installed in phones but not computers, even though it should be compatible. it will also make the fiddly virtual keyboard bearable
They work on it!
We have to wait to see if it is doable or not..

Add please finger tracking to Rift S! And you can add tracking of various items with marks. For example, stick special paper marks on the edges of the keyboard and use a 3D copy of the keyboard in VR to get to the desired keys. Or attach marks to your cat so that you don’t step on it in VR.

I'm stopping about buying Oculus Rift games like Dance Central VR just because of this. Who is in charge of marketing at Oculus/Facebook? A monkey?

I understand that it won't work in most games but in some games like Synth Rider I could see my self being able to play it. I would pinch the song I want to play and touch the notes with my hands instead of the controller. I could play drunken bar Fight too with this. If you just program the hands to work as game controllers I might work in a few titles.

I bought the Rift S just few months ago andIt's a wonderful headset but Oculus is making a big mistake with the lack of support.I heard nothing about Rift S on Oculus Connect 6 and this is not acceptable!

Maybe hand tracking would be trash but still you can turn it off and when playing games like beat saver you could use your controllers so I think come on get handtracking to oculus rift s

Why is it even debatable? If it's a software update there should be zero excuse to put it on a headset that relies on better parts. I really hope you guys make the right choice
