Optical handtracking for Rift S
Please make sure that - alongside Quest - Rift S will also get optical hand tracking. Parity between the headsets should be a high priority. Currently there's no clear commitment either way and Rift S users shouldn't be left out if there's not a serious, technical reason.

Just give us hand tracking and end the hate war! I know it's not that simple but even just letting the community know you're working on it would mean a lot.

As a Customer, I feel very upset about the OC6.
You “killed” rift S. Not by releasing Link, but for not saying a word about Rift S.
Its a much more capable hardware so please, dont kill it. -

Seems crazy they didn't start with the Rift S.

The hardware is capable to doing it, so please make it happen! Rift S is a very awesome headset, and it should not be killed per-se... Please!

Long term this is a must to keep parity between platforms. Seems nuts that the Rift S would be excluded from the feature as it's entirely capable of doing it.

Totally agree.
The Rift S should be the priority, as it is the high end product by the performance you can get, and so on the leader what you can make next gen graphics and other performance.
I do totally get that Quest huge benefit to be completely out of Rift S reach when it comes to easy to use, as you just start using it.
I do love the whole idea of Quest how you can just now add a fiber optic cable to it to get the PC run the game or software, but it can't mean it just abandon the Rift S for that.
If there is any technical changes to get it to the Rift S, it should be done. After all looking how QUest got the camera correction tech from Rift S too, so it should go both ways.
And this would be a major finisher for the deal for benefit of Rift S compared to other high end products from other manufacturers when you can just use your HMD cameras to do tracking, instead the extension port or other attachments etc.

I know this is apparently just for social experiences and app navigation but I think it would be a great tool for developers of more novel based experiences and as a way to make apps like movie players simpler to use without need of having controllers around.

Yes, please include this in the Rift S. It will be a game changer for DCS and other flight sims.

Yes please !
Rift S and Quest share the same tracking tech, and Rift S has the added horsepower of a PC behind it.
I can understand if Rift S gets handtracking AFTER Quest, but please don;t ignore the Rift S and not give us that feature parity. Rift S users will also benefit from hand tracking that we can use in Social VR apps like Facebook Horizon.
