Optical handtracking for Rift S
Please make sure that - alongside Quest - Rift S will also get optical hand tracking. Parity between the headsets should be a high priority. Currently there's no clear commitment either way and Rift S users shouldn't be left out if there's not a serious, technical reason.

The Rift S should be able to handle hand tracking with ease with it's 5 cameras , if the Oculus Quest's 4 cameras can..so please let use Rift S users have the hand tracking feature in the future.

Basically being penalized for not purchasing a down graded product. Even with a link Cabe you will not have the same experience on the quest as you do with the rift and rift s. It's really sad their whole selling point was no computer needed. Now unfortunately if you want any games you have to connect it to a computer. Oculus wishes to leave the rift and rift s behind on upgrades "Hello vive".

Don't leave us hanging. There wouldn't be any Oculus without Rift adopters.

No reason not to add it!

Of course. This shouldn't be even a question!

Absolutely! I am so tempted to refund my Rift-S and grab a Vive or save up for an Index because the lack of features on this dang thing they're letting off.

Rift S should definitely get tracking. Not only because it's for high level gaming compared to Quest, but it's the same price too. No reason this shouldn't be a thing

Yep its really rather sad that after releasing the RIft S they barely made any improvements for it. In the end a customer is still a customer weather its a rift S or a quest. So would be great if you incorporated it .

Would love to see this on Rift S! And if Oculus really listens to user feedback, it would make me more willing to buy Oculus products in the future :)

It would be cool. It would definitely make navigating social apps much easier. I've had it pointed out that without haptics, gaming applications would be limited.

I'd love to see this! Putting someone in VR and having their hands appear in the experience, almost as if by magic, is a powerful tool. My mum struggled with the Touch controllers in any games that were more than simply positional tracking; to give her an experience where she could use her own hands instead of a peripheral would be such a massive step in ease of access when it comes to introducing new people to VR.

I have been supporting Oculus since it pioneered VR. I realized that Virtual Reality would take off from there, but at the time, I could not afford the P.C. Specs, nor the system. I saved my money, used my tax returns to purchase the parts to upgrade my P.C., and then waited half a year later to finally purchase a VR Headset.
No matter how good the specs were on any other system, Oculus was on my mind. I chose the Rift S over the Quest because, at the time, it was the newest system by your company to hook up to a P.C. And, of course, not even three months later, I get word that the Quest is getting absolutely everything. Nothing new to buy, simply firmware, including hand tracking. While I'm ecstatic that Oculus is STILL pioneering VR and introducing it to the greater world, I feel that those that have already bought from them have been forgotten. We have reasons to be excited, we've supported you, and we would like for you to support us.
If you're capable of giving us something similar to the quest, then do it. We may still choose to the use the touch controllers at times (We do understand system specs better than a casual player) but give us that option and don't forget about us. We spent 400.00 Bucks just like the other boys and girls.
Please give us Finger Tracking, thank you. Or, at least, make sure we know we haven't been forgotten because we decided to purchase the set with a cable already included.

Yes, Rift S should get this feature. Rift S has the advantage of running on a powerful gaming PC which trumps the performance of the mobile processor inside the Quest.

Just give us hand tracking and end the hate war! I know it's not that simple but even just letting the community know you're working on it would mean a lot.
