Optical handtracking for Rift S
Please make sure that - alongside Quest - Rift S will also get optical hand tracking. Parity between the headsets should be a high priority. Currently there's no clear commitment either way and Rift S users shouldn't be left out if there's not a serious, technical reason.

Please consider hand tracking on Rift S. This would be amazing for the VR community and maintain parity between Rift S and Quest headsets.

They just want to boost sales of Quest. It's just a business tactic. Just calm the **** down people. It'l definitely come to rift s as well.

I agree I just bought the Rift S because I had a powerful PC and if it doesn't get hand tracking I'll return it no joke. The whole point for a Rift S is because it's supposed to be a higher teir of Device, It has the new LCD lenses that get rid of the screen door affect so I am begging You guys PLEASE release hand tracking for us Rift S buyers!

Add hand tracking and I'll buy a Rift S
Also, what ever happened to this:

This would put the Touch controllers on par with the Index controllers -

Please release hand tracking for Rift S! That would be so cool and it sucks that only the Quest gets it.

It's unfair that quest is getting special treatment

I am very interested to buy a rift or rift s, but I think I will buy the S because of the hopefully incoming finger tracking!

This would be great because i'm somewhat handicapped with my right hand's fingers not being able to feel/find the buttons and stick by touch - sometimes its better, sometimes its worse but oftentimes my ability to "feel" something is limited. For example i "think" im pressing a button but actually i press nothing because by finger/thumb is too far away from the button's position and i cannot reajust correctly because i cannot feel the button. It would eventually be helpful to habe the buttons be higher, habe vr-glove or .. handtracking. Thanks.

Yes please! I would literally upgrade now to S if it had that. I've been wanting a super good reason to ditch my gen 1 Rift. ( as I know my PC can outperform a quest headset four times over. )

Hand tracking would be amazing for the Rift S and there is no reason not to implement it. If the Quest can do it, the Rift S can do it better! So, give us hand tracking for the Rift S!
Manually adjustable optical lenses would be great, too. Of all my friends only two have around 64 mm eye distance. All other has more or less.

It doesn’t make sense why they wouldn’t put it in. The CTO of Oculus said that it was possible with the Rift S.
Not to mention the Rift S will have significantly more sales because it’s a hand tracking supported PCVR headset than the Quest due to being a mobile headset and wonky PCVR support -

No reason why we can't have this, the cameras are the same, so why not?

"I agree with this, its like we're getting advertized that the Rift S is the best option for a high quality VR experience, but then all the cool new features go for the quest instead, starts feeling like it was a mistake to go for the Rift S, and i just bought it a week ago...."
I 100% agree to this!
Also the OQ is ******** to develop with, the Rift S is super easy to use Unity5 and Unreal Engine on a very small office space
