Option to disable/enable input devices like the xbox controller from the devices menu
Option to disable/enable input devices like the xbox controller from the devices menu
When you launch a non-vr game on a pc the Oculus still accepts input from the xbox controller that you want to use on a desktop app.
Add the option to disable the xbox controller inside the oculus app.

I want to use my controller while using VR to play a game. I don't want my headset taking inputs from my controller though. So when I have a controller connected to my PC and use wired Oculus Link, a dot will appear. Now, where ever I look on the screen, if I press 'A' on the controller it will click it, 'B' to right-click, 'X' I think brings up the keyboard overlay menu. The thing is, I don't want this. I want to use the controller in my game and not have the headset interact with it. Why can't I do that? If I want to do something inside the headset, I will use my controllers I set safely to the side or take of the headset to look for them. I don't need a controller for my headset to use. This is strange that this issue has been around for this long.

If I can't find a reasonable solution for this I'll have to give the headset a 1 star review on Amazon. It won't matter, of course, but it's all I can do. This is completely ridiculous. I've been wondering the last couple days since I bought this thing if they really DON'T want to make this headset versatile. After all, if we can use it to do other things, then we're less likely to buy their store products? Hah, if the headset sucks, then I'm ALSO less likely to buy your ****.

Why has this issue not been dealt with? I am unable to play 3rd person and FPS games in Steam theatre mode thanks to this, will I have to get a valve index to be able to play my normal non vr games in vr theatre now?
Please sort this out asap

this is a glaring oversight and the fact that it has not been addressed yet still is completely inexcusable, and frankly in my opinion; unprofessional . The support techs act like they have no idea what the issue is when you fill out a ticket. This has happened Twice now and i have heard others say the same thing. This to me says this was something that slipped by in the design and when found it was decided the fix would be too costly or hurt sales blah blah blah. point being it cant be fixed without headset being sent back and thats not good for Oculus so instead of telling you the truth they act like there is no problem. but since all actions have an equal but opposite reaction mine is to tell everyone i am friends with to not buy these products and my reasoning for such and any forums i go to will have similar boycotts of said product. you have to sleep in the bed you make.

I agree, please implement a disable possibility. While playing a game in a virtual desktop the oculus app resizes the desktop, instead of letting me play the game..

Agreed it makes using the virtual desktop environment to play windows store games impossible.

I agree. My Xbox controller won't stop f*cking linking to my Oculus software and now I can't play GTAV through virtual desktop without the controller trying to control both the game and the Oculus software.
I'm beyond ******. I don't want the Oculus software doing ANYTHING automatically that I did not tell it to do. WTF.

PLEASE OCULUS. I cannot play Forza Motorsport 6 with the Rift, with an xbox controller, on my PC. I just need to be able to disable the controller within oculus but leave it enabled to play through my PC!
